  1. hey all, I am doing the ICP 08 programme and was wondering if anyone who has already been and worked there know how it works for getting people free into the parks. I know it is 3 people times but does it have to be the same 3 people 6 times or could you have 1 lot of 3 people and take them in 3 times and then do the same with an other 3 people? The reason I ask is that my mum, dad and sister want to come but then so do my auntie, uncle and cousin.

Also what discount do we get on the Disney hotels?

You get to let up to tree people in 12 times a year and it doesn't have to be the same people ;D You get up to 50% discount depending on what season it is on the hotels. At least that's how it is on the cultural programme...

yes, it can be 3 different people each of the 6 times!

You get up to 40% off Disney hotels for your friends and family depending on the time of year and availability. You can book about 5 rooms for other people per year.

You get up to 50% off Disney hotels if you are staying in the hotel room, or 60% off over the christmas period.

You also get 20% off disney merchandise, 40% at christmas.

There are so many other discounts too!

why do you get a better discount if you stay in the hotel with them... surely you could just say you are staying there and check-in but let someone else stay there? or is that not how it works? ...anyone know rough prices you'd get in hotels over the summer?

I think you actually have to check in on the day if you are using a 'CM in room' discount, whereas with the 'guest' discount you only need to show your ID up to 10 days before the party check in.

The Christmas discount rooms go exceedingly quickly...it was near impossible to get anything when I was there.

hey i'm on the ICP and i was just wondering if there was any time limit on how long family and friends can stay in the hotel with the discount. Like if my parents came out for 2 weeks could they get up to 40% off the full 2 weeks And if my friends came out later would they be able to get it to?

ooh and is it also true we get unlimited access to the parks :) ? cheers! x

You can get the discount for the full two weeks, but you may need to make two seperate bookings. I don't if they have changed it from the 7 days maximum booking yet. However, if you make the two seperate bookings, most of the time, if you go to the resort and speak to them, they will sort it so that you guests don't need to check in again. That's what I did when I was there.

As for unlimited access, that's only for yourself! No one else can use that.

awesome thank you! and i'v got another one now :) how is the booking made? could they do it through a travel agent and then get their discount at Disney - or is it something i would arrange while i was out there? Also can it be any hotel in the Disney resort or is it limited to specific ones? Sorry, i have so many questions but it's something i'v not really heard anything about, apart from on here. Thanks.

You would have to make the booking yourself over dsney's intranet system called The Hub. You get your user name and pass word for it on the 2nd day i think.

and it is possible to book any of the hotels, it just depends if they have any discounted rooms left for the period you want to book for!

Also, you would need to check your family in if you use the CM in the room discount, and you might not have that day off work. You'd only find out a week or so before.

Yeah, so it's best to find out when your guests want to come before you get to Disney... that way, once you've figured out the Hub, you can book days off so you can check them in!

do you tend to get less hotel discount over easter and christmas?

No, you get more over Christmas, but the rooms go really fast. As the rooms start to get booked up, the discounts will decrease... I think it also depends on the type of room as well.

  14. Hey! Sorry to barge in the wrong room, but I saw this thread and it interested me.

I assume all the discounts and entrance tickets only apply for the year long CRP, and that you don't get them on the Summer program. Is this right?

    Muchos Thanks,

    Ian xx

no, you'll still get discounts on the summer program. and as far as i know they're exactly the same! Of course you won't get the benifits of 40% discount over christmas though :)

  16. Thats amazing! I was gonna try and get some friends or family to come and visit me if i got to go.... but that just add to it!

I really should stop looking on the forum until i get offered a job.

    Thanks minnie mouse

do we get a discount on disney cruises?
and for the hotel discount can we book the one where we're not checking in with the guests for after we've finished the program?

Yes you do get a discount on cruises, but usually you can't book them more than 3 months in advance, and it's only inside staterooms on the cruises they have spaces on!

To check into any hotel using a CM discount, you need to have your ID to prove you're a CM. After you finish your program you're supposed to hand it in. I know we stayed in AKL for 3 days, and on the first day my ID expired, but they didn't say anything, they still let me check in.

also, you need to be with the company for over 3 months before you can book a cruise.
