i'm leaving on sept 6 .
I just wondered, if everyone got some news , infos (big package send by mail)
because at my casting agency, told me, i was supposed to have it on the begenning of june
I'm i the only one, that didn't get it ???

a little heads up for you guys...i got mine about a month and a half ago and i leave for Florida in a week. I think they get backed up a lot so i wouldn't get worried about it yet

I wouldn't stress out about it I called Eric ..my casting guy and he said my package wouldn't be coming until late august...and I am leaving the 6th of September :-\ Its cutting it close I know but I figure as long as I get there its all good!!!

well i remember eric saying that we would not recieve our package until like one month before our departure date , so no stress about it ,

but theres one thing i dont remember quite well, are we supposed to wait to receive the package before we book our flight? i think he said that we were supposed to wait for it before bokkonig the flight but im like really not sure about it
so if anybody knew it would help me a lot

I think u'.re supposed to wait for the package before booking a ticket... im 80 % sure loll !!
because if there is a problem,you won't have to canceled your ticket and paid for extra !

 

yeah i though so ... im sure at 80 % too lol , well im pretty sure eric told me not to book my ticket before receiving my package ...

today i went to desjardins , and register for a visa card , i open a new account and ask lots f questions about what was going to happen with my accounts when ill be down there, its lots of trouble for surre lol ill try not to take my visa card much !
anyway ill be oblidged to open a bank account there to be able to pay my visa bills and other stuff , i hate those kind of details thats wy i didnt have a visa card until now .. humpf!

Yeah you are right.  Don't book your plane ticket till you get the green light (package in the mail).  Believe me it is sure a relief to get it in the mail cause it means that you are really going.

Quick question. I remember Eric said that we need to get a birth certificate, to submit to Cast-a-way. When does this have to been done, and when do we need it by. If anyone could help that would be great.

You don't have to submit your birth certificate, you have to submit a background criminal check tho. Just go to the police station and get it and then fax it off to Eric. You do have to bring your birth certificate down with you tho.

 

yeah i remember that too , a birth certificat in english ( donnu how ill find this !!! :|)

Umm I have already done the back ground check..I am going to e-mail him and see what he says about the birth certificate because I am sure he said that we need a original or a copy , certified.

i JUST did the criminal record check..been soo busy..andt hen i realized im leaving in 2 1/2 months so i started freaking out! haahah but yah...i havent gotten my package either soo no worries..i think people from the UK get theres' earlier than the cnd.s get thereS!

i havent gotten anythin yet and its been 3 weeks sincei got the email telling me i got accepted and Sue was s'posed to send me an email and call me for the next step on the procedures and i totally getting NOTHING from her! i started to get bit worry too but hopefully she wud call me soon cos i hate waiting and getting nothing and the date is getting close!!!

i remember eric told me to get a birth certificat in english... i called at gouvernement canada, and the way to get it in engllish, is to get someone to transleted it...because you can't received by mail a birth certificat in english... need to get it translated...

i really don't know, where to get that !!???

I went to Vital Statistics Agency in the city I was born(Winnipeg). I just finished filling out the form. It cost $25.00 for me. And you can either have it in French or English. So you might just want to call the government and they may be able to direct you where you need to go.
