Details of the discounts/benefits we get

I know that we get free entry into the Disney parks and 20%(?) off Disney merchandise, but can anyone tell me the exact percentage we get discounted from hotels? And I was told 'blood-relations' get free entry also, but is this really strict? Or is it not so hard to bring your best mate in for free?!

hi how are you doing? YOu get a main gate pass after you have completed the first 3 mnths of your contract. This main gate is for friends and family and u can use it up to 12 admissions into hte park. It is good for u and 3 ppl each time.
As for merchandise and food you get 20%off.
Hotels and disney cruises you get 50% off.
Also, when you go shopping around the local stores ask to see if you get a disney discount. Usally they will give you some sort if discount.

One more question: you say the main gate pass id good for myself and three people, for up to twelve uses. That does seem a lot of visits, but what if I fancy going to the magic kingdom alone or with fellow cast members, would that minus one of the twelve admissions? Or is it a different system where you just show your ID badge?

Can I book rooms with my discount, lets say 2 months before.
Well the main questions is if they validate my discounts for this time, and also

Hey, my dad and brother have booked a holiday to florida especially to see me while im over there. I will have been there a month and im only working on the 3month college program, can they get a discount on tix/free entry at all? :-\ ?

I am not sure how the whole discount thing is working for the 3 months program. You should ask the Disney people when you arrive ( no need to worry about that already ). If you don't get your family in for free ( although I am sure you will get free admission ), you can always ask someone who is on the 12 months program or a permanent working there to sign your family/friends in. Even our maingate pass was only valid to sign in 3 people at a time and so we just asked one of our friends to tag along with their pass and sign the rest in. It always worked out fine.

As for the discounts at the hotels, you have to cheak your guest's in and you have to claim that you are staying with them, cause if you don't stay with them, then it's only 20% off the hotel's which belive me is not that much down here, so as long as you are there to cheak them in and get them settled and you are in the resort sometimes, then your good to go and your guests can get in for cheep!!! And for booking the hotels you get a number, in the first LONG week here in all the paper work and classes there is a class on stuff that we get. And they will give you the number to call to book the hotels and cruise ships, we get specials numbers

You could always ask someone to sign them in for you - and then return the favour at a later date

Yeah def up for the cruise! One of our many plans for the year!

Sara fingers crossed u find someone to sign your family in - it will only be a few weeks b4 u get your passes so someone might sign them in in exchange for one of ur passes a week later. I might be having friends come down from New York in august - i feel bad they'll probably end up paying... But oh well ive warned them and they dont mind and at least for the rest of the year we get all those passes - cant complain!

We're so lucky to get all these benefits - as if getting to live in florida for the year wasnt good enougth to start with!

Hey girls! DON'T WORRY! lol ( how many times did I say that on these boards so far ) ....you WILL find someone to sign your family in! In 2 months you have probably already gotten to know about 100 people and maybe became friends with a quarter of them. Friendships are being made so quickly over there and you guys even know people who will be doing the program before you because of these boards and so they can sign you in, too. Also your roomies will help you out FOR SURE. Don't let any of your visiting friends pay the ridiculous amount for tickets when you will surely have so many other options.
And yeah I went on the cruise ( you gotta do the 7 days one, much more fun than the short one ). It was like 450 bucks and it was sooooo worth every penny. I mean looking at the food you will be eating, the places you will go, the entertainment stuff on and off the ship, I would have paid twice as much. All gratuity for the staff is also already included. It was like a dream and I am sure not many other people our age can say they have been doing something like that.
