Is there a limit to the amount you can book off and how soon?! The place I worked last year were pretty lax bout it as they gave 25 of us the same day off for someones birthday trip to Philly! But I arrive July 15th and want Labour Day weekend off to go to NJ to visit friends, do you think thats 2 soon to ask for time off? and I have family visitng in August so depending on what my schedule is like, I might like another day off then.....
I don't so much think its about it being too soon, but Labor Day in the parks is really really busy so depending on where you are they might not be able to give you time off.
I think I remember a friend of mine who worked there last year (JohnBoy on these forums) saying something like... you can book the time off as early as you want and the earlier the better, but yeah... if it's a day they expect to be really busy then there's a chance they might turn you down but you may aswell try as early as possible.
yeh i worked at a theme park last year and found that because they have so much staff they arnt that bothered as long as you give them a lot of notice but i dont want to seem to be slacking 5 minutes after i arrive by asking for time off! i want to do overtime so i can afford to live and party lol so hope they wont be picky about who gets it i.e if you book time off then you dont get first choice for overtime
Here's that magic disney answer again.. It all depends on your job and job location! Even then though, the sooner you book it off the better, because someone else who you work with might get in before you..
