Hi everyone, hows it going. I am new to this site, just found it, it's fab! Just wanted an opinion...
Had been thinking about applying for the program for a while and finally fixed up my CV last week and e-mailed to the guys at yummy (from Scotland by the way). Only thing that worries me though is from looking at prev posts, folk have mentioned covering letters? Have I completely blown it already as I just sent a CV? Really concerned as looking around the site has made me want to do this even more! Any advice much appreciated!!

I wouldn't worry about it! :) I'm sure you won't have blown your chances just because of that! It's possible that they haven't looked at it yet, since they had a large group who departed yesterday. If you're worried, write one and email it to them and explain! I just used mine to expand on why I wanted to work for Disney, but it was less than 2/3rds of a page I think!
    Good luck!

    Thanks Charlotte!
Unfort they have already received it; got an e-mail saying they'll be in touch in 8-10 wks. You're prob right though, will just have to wait and see what happens. Going by what others have said, even if I have blown it I could just re-apply i guess! Congratulations on getting through, have fun! ;)

well if they said they will be in touch thats a positive sign but dont get worried if its longer cos loads of ppl went yestersday and they will be sorting out all of us who go in sept - visas etc, u could email them back and say thank u for your/letter email etc and why u want to work for disney etc like charlotte and i did, good thing about this site hun is that everyone is so willing to help if u hav a problem with something so if ya need anything just shout ;D

don't worry cinders ur be fine! fingers crossed u will get through, but if u don't then as u say u can always reapply so its not the end of the world! im part of the reapplying club, concentrating on getting a job so can add that to my cv - ive got an interview with british airways, so hopefully yummy will take another look at my cv when i send it again, and i will get an interview!

Wow, british airways - is it for crew? I am actually Cabin Crew at the moment, know the application process well! Can be a bit tough, just make sure you are well prepared! My BA interview was a while ago now, but from what I've heard the interview is pretty much unchanged. Any questions just ask! It's well worth it, such a great job. I just fancy a change, want to do this before I get too caught up with career prospects and promotions and stuff, it's fantastic though you'll have a ball. ;)

That's great kelly, yeah a few of the girls at work did similar courses and I think it definately gets your foot in the door!  As far as my covering letter dilemma goes, I e-mailed yummy voicing my concerns; there was no problem.  Just said if I wanted to e-mail a letter to them now it wasn't too late.  So that's what I did!  Fingers crossed for some feedback soon then.  Thanks y'all for your help, and good luck to everyone!!
