Hiya, I just wanted to know the details of what I'd be doing if I got out there. How do your work days pan out? How long are the shirts? What jobs do you end up doing through the day? tia everybody
Gooooooooooooooood Morning boys and girls I shall tell you alla bout my day today well yesterday, cause today was culinery day where you dress and act like a chef - only for foodies of course so i qwas aseater yesterday, from 2pm - 10pm so you go and you clock in and you stand on podium sit a few people have a laugh with the guests ask them about there day show them to thier table wish them a nice meal and off you go to the next guest when its quieter you can go in the street play games with guests draw on the pavement with chalk etc etc etc im having lost and lots of fun
OMG that's really wierd. I was a seater today in my restaurant, but my day couldn't have been more different. This makes me really excited. I worked 8am til 5.20pm today. Got in at 8, clearing breakfast plates from tables and resetting them. Until about 11.30 Half hour break. Then I was seating and greating, asking people about their days, generally having a laugh with guests. 12-2.30 Then 2.30 til 5.20 I polished plates and cutlery. What I really wanted to find out was whether CRP people got stuck doing the real dogsbody jobs like where I work at the moment, your day sounds so much fun and mine was so boring despite the fact we had the same job. IDEAL ;D
Did my 1st 'open Chippy' shift with my trainer at 10.45 this morning. Got the chippy ready for opening and was just a food runner for the rest of the time. Refilled the condiments when they needed doing and not much else. Was Very stormy with a lot of rain today so the chippy was pretty dead. Got ER'd and told to go Home an hour early at 4.45pm Also got a 45 minute lunch break so not much work today. haha
I worked on beer cart today. got to work at 3:30, didn't serve a lot of people, put beer cart away at 7:00pm due to the rain, went home.
Today was really warm outside but the chippy was pretty dead for some reason. Another easy shift and i had to open it today for the 1st time with Ms Park
Is 6hours like the maximum your getting? how many hours are you working a week on average? as much as I love er's and time off, i do need to earn some money! lol.
Hey sounds like your having a great time over there, just a quick question, what are Er's prob a stupid question to ask but was just curious ??? Only 74 days till i will be out there too cant wait 2 meet everyone ;D
An ER is an early release from shift. Disney use all kinds of codes and abbreviations youll get used to them pretty quick! lol Basically when you start on shift (this is my last role im not sure how CRP works exactly) but youd clock in using a computer, and youd have your own homepage type thing on CDS. . and you can request an ER straight away, saying what time youd like to leave and why. and basically if its quiet and they need to send people home rather than walk round and ask everyone they just look at the system and send people home from there! Bottom line, too many ER's. . . not a lot of money =)
ER's = Early Releases, when they let you go home early! But you only get paid the hours you work, so you have to be careful! Heehee that's the first time I've ever been able to answer a Disney lingo question *proud*
ha ha thank you both for letting me know the answer, sounds quite good if u needed to leave early but like u said would not be so good for my bank balance
