they have only just changed it they said originally that they would be opening towards the end of the year I guess they have enough applicants to cover - not really surprised as some people guessed they would go down to one recruitment session a year agfter everything that happened (all the changes etc) with the last lot of applications in Jan

I was really hoping for applications to open this month :( I'm assuming it's going to be a 2013 start date now.

I was kind of expecting that too - with the last round of applicants covering almost all of 2012, it wouldn't have made sense for them to open applications in July for 2013. Really sorry that you guys have to wait that long before you can apply!

(on the plus side, it means that most of us who have to wait until August to find out our fate stand a really good chance of being given a date :))

Ahaha been some time since I've been on here.

First I've heard of this as well. If your desperate to go out then I guess this sucks. But on the plus side, it gives you time to get experience in the field you want to work within. Also gives you time to research and better prepare for the application process itself. Flash up your CV write a cover letter that gives you the umph you need.

Don't think of it as "Oh no way thats ages!!" Think of it as, More time to prepare more time to become brilliant =D When I first applied I had no experience and was just a college drop out. Now I've worked in a holiday park and have oodles of confidence in myself (which i lacked before) and I'm confident that I can now properly say I can deal with the fast track of which is disney. Its not a negative thing, its just better time to prepare and learn.

Yeah I was annoyed at this too! But I emailed them and January applications are for August 2012 onwards start dates, which still works for me!

Surely this is Disney's decision and not Yummy's as it up to Disney to decide how often they want to attend f2f interviews each year

It's purely to do with Disney, they tell yummy jobs when they can start accepting applications, when to have phone interviews, when F2F is. All Disney, and to be fair to yummy jobs, within about an hour of Disney telling them who could be taken off the waitlist they told us. So I know it's frustrating but Disney are the ones who decide when applications can begin. I'm sure January will come round soon enouh:)good luck with all your applications!
