Hey guys I am interested in applying for the CR programme for the first time, and have a couple of questions if anyone is available to help! I ideally would like to start in Sept 2011, as this means I can get uni graduation out of the way, and have the chance to earn some spending money over the summer! Does anyone know from when I should be applying? I realise its ages away yet, but want to make sure I dont miss any deadlines etc! And I've heard about people being wait-listed... does this mean if I apply now and happen to be successful, that a position may open up by autumn of next year some time? Thanksssss!
This batch of applications which closes in september is for feb - aug 2011 i would expect they will reopen applications for sept-feb around about dec/jan time 2011
being waitlisted means that you have been accepted for a job but at that time there are no jobs to give you, so they make you wait so that if a job comes up they have a list of people to call to offer these short notice positions to (the waitlist) usually people on the waitlist are taken over to fill the spaces for those who have quit or been sent home from disney before the end of their contact/visa, in this case you would take over that persons visa/contract and therefore would only remain there for the rest of the time left on the visa (so for example, if i was there and quit and came home after 4 months and they took you off the waitlist to fill my place you would only get 8 months over there) sometimes they take people off the waitlist and send them over for a full year as normal but this only really happens if the park gets verrry busy and they think they are going to need extra people for 12months..... sometimes people get put on the waitlist after they have their interview and are then offered jobs within a few days/weeks - usually because someone else was offerd the job first and declined or backed out after accepting.
