Hey guys! I know there are other topics about cover letters but I'm stuck deciding whether to include one because I've already completed two ICPs without putting one in! I guess I'll do one anyway but I worry about repeating myself all over the place (what with the CV and the boxes in your YJ profile), has everyone done cover letters for the CRP?

    Thanks!! ;D

I did, and then in my motivation box I just did a brief summary of the letter, saying something like 'see cover letter attached to CV for further information'. So I'd filled out the box without much repetition.

I'd never applied before, and everyone I've come across has said it's a good idea to do a cover letter so I did, but if you don't feel that it's necessary (and obviously you've got a pretty strong CV since you've managed to get onto the ICP twice!), then just stick that kind of stuff in the motivation box instead.

That probably wasn't much help ;)

When I applied, it seemed everyone did it differently- some did no cover letter, some pasted the cover letter into the motivation box and others did the cover letter and cv together and then used the motivation box as extra to write some more. All three approaches seemed to work, so don't worry. I chose to put the cv and cover letter in one document, and in my cover letter talked about what I could bring to the program, my past experience etc. I then used the motivation box to talk more about what the program means to me personally and what I'd gain from the experience. But its totally personal and I honestly don't believe there is a 'right' way to do things! ! Good luck x

Hey guys, thanks for replying... I've decided to put everything into the motivation box, LOL. Gotta just go with it - it's random it seems! x

When I applied I didn't do a cover letter and I got in! But if u feel more at ease doing a cover letter I would! No harm doing it at the end of the day
