I was wondering how long you all made your cover letter?

I'm worried mine was too short, I didn't want to make it too long so got to the points I wanted.

i think everyones cover letters are going to vary in length because everyone has different reasons for applying and different skills and experience they want to show case to YJ in the first stage of applications.
As long as you managed to put across how keen you are to work for disney and explained why youd be a good cast member you should be ok,how long was your cover letter (just out of interest!)

Id say anything less than half an A4 page is maybe not enough......thats just my own opinion tho

Im sure youl be fine, dont worry!

    ^^ Good answer! :D

Mine just manages to fit onto one page. I worried that mine was too long, but I suppose it depends on what you want to include. I think I read on here somewhere that someone had written a 3 page long letter - so it really can vary. :S

Haha yeah that was me! I wrote my cover letter in a word document first and it was just over 3 on screen a4 pages - about 1,300 words,i just copied and pasted it into the box that was for letter of motivation :) i had a lot i wanted to say tho and as ive done the program before i felt i really had to justify my reasons for wanting to go back and do it again

mine fits snug onto on page! just hoping its what they are wanting to hear though! lol

had a few people proof read it though and they said it looks good!

another tip, getting friends/family to proof read things for you, to make sure things are all in order, and you may even get tips from them :)

Mine's just under a page- think it ended up being about 500 words in total. But then I attached my cover letter to my CV and used the motivation box to talk more about why I wanted to take part so I guess if I'd have fitted them all onto the same thing it would have been about a page and a half :)

i tried not to ramble on too much, but at the same time i didnt want it to look like a generic covering letter that i put in other job applications-even when i cut out the poitless waffle, it still filled a good 3 paragraphs!

i wouldn't stress out too much about the cover letter. u don't necessarily need one, just something extra u can do i suppose.

good luck to everyone! hope you've all managed to sort out your applications by now!

the cover letter is your chance to really sell yourself and show why you deserve the opportunity - they are offering you the chance to shine so you should reallllllly try and write a cover letter, especially if your CV doesnt reflect positions within the hospitality/service industry or if your havent got a lot of work experience
