what do they expect from it?? what it should say??? im a little lost... please!! help!!!!! XOXO :-* :-* :-* Ely :-* :-* :-*
I'm so glad you bought this up, as i was wondering the same thing! When i was over at Disney this summer, i made some friends with some people on the Programme, and from previous years, and from what i gather the covering letters vary dramatically. Some people did a bog-standard covering letter, whilst others were more creative, for example, a Disney poem outlining why they wanted to be on the Programme! To be honest, i was probably more confused after speaking to them!
Just basically explain why you want to work for Disney and your love for it etc... I didn't write a cover letter but added a little paragraph at the top of my C.V. explaining why I wanted to work for Disney more than any other. Also what made me suitable for the job including things such as organisational and managerial skills that I had along with customer service etc. Just make sure you tailor it for Disney...I would imagine that they are much more interested in the things that make you stand out and would make you extra suitable for Disney inparticular than other useless information. Thats all really...just make it suit you...it's one of the most important things to do but also one of the hardest...to show who and what you are on paper is a difficult but important. Remember to make yourself stand out xKx
thx kirsty!! yes def. one of the hardest thing to do its show my personality in a paper, im trying harder to do a better one than the last, and i only have a few days to finish it :-\, ty for the help, it very useful and now have a more clear idea thx!! , other difficulty for me its that it have to be written in english and its not my mother languange, but well ill try to do my best! ;D hope u are ok see you! Teacake: i hope u find this info useful like me, when are u applying?? for what program?? XOXO :-* :-* :-* Ely :-* :-* :-*
Well Ely if you want me to take a look at it before sending it off just email it to me! I really don't mind...anything to get you over there Glad I could help! xKx
I have found this site, and all the people on it lovely and incredibly helpful - i'm so glad i found it! I'm going for the Cultural Representative Programme! I graduate from Uni July 2007 so will hopefully be heading out then, providing i get onto it of course! I spoke to Yummy and was advised that i need to have my application in by Jan 15th. I'm trying to give it some thought now as i know i have an incredibly busy semester ahead, although planning a Disney application is far more exciting! What about you? I take it you are applying slightly earlier than me?! Sarah x
