Hey guys. So I was wondering what should I actually include in the cover letter? I'm absolutely terrible at writing things about myself as I'm overly critical and just have no idea. Should I be including things like why I want to work for Disney etc and what area of work would I prefer Basically, my cv at present, is kind of tailored for law related jobs so I need to change all that too. Thanks
you going to have to tailor your CV towards hospitality or retail experience if you have any,if not then your going to have to work very hard to show why you want to go and work at disney in your cover letter it should include your reasons for applying, what you would hope to gain from doing it, what you can offer, what skills, experience and qualities you have that make you perfect for the role, how you think you would cope with living with people from all over the world etc ------ you really have to sell yourself and prove to them why you deserve this over eveyone else! have you any hospitality/retail experience???
Yeah I do have some experience. Well I hope a garden centre counts. I mean it has involved me often having to help out in the cafe etc, part time for the last 6 years, along with a library job for the last 3/4 years. Okay, thanks for the advice. I know the cover letter shouldn't be too long though should it?
the cover letter will be as long as it needs to be,it really depends on what you want to say and how much you feel you want to write about............. obviously they dont want to be reading a novel but you have to make sure its long enough to explain all your reasons for applying..... good luck!
Heyy guys just a quick question regarding cvs! Who do we address the cover letter to? And do we place it in the motivation box or attach it to our cv? Im about to write my cover letter to send it off asap but dont want to muck it up lol. Thanks ;D
you dont need to actually put an address on the cover letter or mark it for the attention of any particular person, its an online application and they will receive it along with all your personal info. you can either write it in the box that says motivation for taking part or you can attach it to your CV and upload it as 1 file - totally up to you,it will get to them and they will read it either way so just whatever feels right for you!
