I just want to get a few things straight because i am confusing myself with all these different programs. You have to be a university student to apply for the cultural representative program right? and it lasts 12 months? does this mean you take a year out of college? I'll be starting my 2nd year of uni this september, if i was to apply now and got accepted when would i be starting? Also what is the different between this program and the international college program? And one more question (for now lol) I've looked at the yummy jobs website and it says you work through the summer is this for Cultural Representative program? or just the summer program? :/
I don't think you have to be at College to do the CRP, I'll be done with university in april and I'm applying for this program now to start after that... It is a 12 months program for everyone. The International College program is like a summer jobs but at Disney. For this program you have to be a student.
yep the cultural representative program (CRP) is open to anyone! you only have to be at uni for the ICP. and yes the CRP is a 12 month program
you do not have to be at uni or college to do the CRP, it is open to any and everyone over 18! its a 12 month program, if you want to apply now they are looking for people to go over early next year (between feb - august as far as im aware) so yeah, if you were to go you would have to take a year out from uni at least, obviously depending on your start date. the college program is for US students only. i think your meaning the J-1 program that yummy jobs offer? that is also a 12 month program but yes, you do have to be at uni (and you have to be at a uni that support the program as it counts towards your uni credits or something? theres a list of the uni's on the YJ website) the summer program is again only for uni students and is a 3 month program that you go on over your summer holidays from uni, altho for this one i think as long as your a student you can do it, you dont need to be in one of the paticipating uni's - as far as i can tell anyway. some of those details may be a little off (and im sure someone will correct me!) but basically if you want to go for a year you either do the CRP or the J-1.
other main difference is for the crp you have to be on your countries pavillion in epcot working so if from the uk thats working in the uk area only - the other programmes you can work pretty much wherever so water parks, resorts, mk rides, fb, merch whatever although i dont think you can work tipped positions :S but not sure about that
yeah thats right, the CRP is the only one where you can work in a tipped position, the others only over quick service f&b and thats non tipped
