Getting there itself will probbably cost the most, from what ive heard from others you need money to start off with cos you dont actually get any pay for the first few weeks i think, after that though it should be easy to live off your wages as youll be earning a min of $100 a week to spend on yourself after rent that is! ;D But then i havent actually worked out there yet so this is just what i am guessing!

Having money behind you already is a big help, just means you can enjoy iwthout having to be quite so concious of going overspending. If you haven't don't worry though as plenty manage without!

Yep is pretty cheap out here, but rem your wages will be in $$$ now too so it levels out a bit.

    Hey, you're from Hull-cool!

Yeah its good to go over with some savings, I guess. Even if you don't need them at least they are there. For all those over-sized stuffed toys you'll want to buy! :D

When are you going? How long for?

yeah ive been there for my holidays a few times and ive got some family there, i wasnt sure which program to do either but after speaking to people on here the common opinion is that if you do the summer program you want to stay longer, so i decided to apply for the year long one, why u waiting until summor 08?

You're lucky to have famly over there!

My Uni course only lets me have 4 weeks for summer...so the summer programme is a lost hope! So I have to wait until 2008 when i graduate to go over. Or possibly even 2010, after I do my post-graduate degree. That course is equally as mean as gives me 4 weeks summer holiday. Grrr.

I'm from Leeds, so we're pretty close! Although I really don't know Hull very well. I'm in University at Huddersfield though. Good old Yorkshire! Got a friend a couple of friends in Hull Uni.

    So have you applied yet?

I'm looking for a job at them moment so I can save up over a looong period of time!
