Cooking?

I was just wondering today, do you all make your own individual meals? Do you ever have problems with roomates eating the food you bought. How does that all work?

Hehe... Jo, I was wondering the same thing earlier today. Cooking is something that I've learned to enjoy doing over the last few months, but it's a lot easier to cook a meal for 4 than it is for one. I suppose it would be just as easy to freeze portions and not have to cook as often.

HELLO,

you all have your own cupboard or shelf, the only problem is lack of space in the fridge, i was lucky there was only 6 in my appartment but some have 8.
nobody ever ate my food but we had a few issues with housemates 'borrowing' milk and not letting you know.

the only thing we ever argued about was what temp the air conditioning ahould be at (morrocan, mexican and girl from hong kong liked it warmer, me norwegian and french girl like it cooler!) and who's turn it was to clean the kitchen. but otherwise i'm still great friends with all but one of them!

well, yeah, we did cook ourselves, but at least once a week we had food delivered or you go to one of the places close by. or you can eat something at work...
i never had probs with my roomies taking any of my groceries, but some of my friends did! i thinks that's a bigger problem with the more people you live with...

Flavour, when you mentioned eating at work, is there a place for Cast Members to get food?

 

odyssey - it's a huge canteen back stage behind mexico, you can get hot meals and sandwiches etc. not great food, but it's cheap and i didn't ever get food poisoning!

well, there's something behind the american adventure, really small though, you can get pizza and stuff...and then like rudy said there's the odyssey (probably closer for you!) whith a much bigger variety of food...i actually liked it there! and you can bring your own food and heat it up, we had a microwave in our break-trailor and there's one at the odyssey as well (well, used to 4 years ago! haha!)

My best friend over there was Domino's Pizza! Maaan I miss those...

 

oh yeah! especially on the 2 for 1 tuesday! haha!! (don't know if they still have that...)

Me neither Nat i totally miss Wal mart shopping from my exchange year... Its such a bad influence on me though i go in to buy food and leave with make up, cds and goodness knows what else!

Wow, is this going to be interesting...
I dont think that problems should arise for food, but
hey u know it is possible.
I dont plan to make a big thing about someone borrowing milk
without permission.
Just talk about it.
This is gpong to be cool.
As for dinners, I have plan to do some cooking, like pasta
or even some Mexican dishes with American ingridients....

I had problems with roommates and food, but the girl that "borrowed" food and a couple of us had other problems, too.

One of my other roommates and I worked in the same department, and ever Wednesday we'd go to Wal-Mart together, and we would cook for each other sometimes. She knew that I'd be exhausted from work, I knew when she'd have days in places she didn't like, so we knew what the other liked and blah blah blah. A couple of times we went out to dinner- we were too lazy to cook!

 

What cooking facilities are provided to us in the apartments?

this may sound weird but the super markets other there do have fabulous smells!!!

I cant wait to get my hands on Flolorda orange juice

and AMERICAN CHIPS (YUMMY YUMMY)ther crisps are the best!!!!!!I love frito lays and sorry but u cant beat american pretzels!!!!and ther ice cream adn frozen youghurt (ahhh i am angrythe do not do frozen yoghurt heremwell i aint found anywhere that does it :'( :'()

I like american food too but the pretzels are disgusting. They are far too salty!

and fresh pretzels are yum,but my fav are wosterchhchecr sause (I cant even say it lol )
sour cream are my fav tho!!! i cant make up my mind!! ;D
