Ok, i'm a little confused. I would love to take part in the international pavillion program, but i'm not sure it would fit in with my plans for the future, as i presume i wouldnt know if i have been accepted onto it until november??? Which would then mean i wouldnt be able to apply for graduate schemes etc for the year ahead, if im unsuccessful.

so ive been trying to investigate whether i can do a 6 month college program. firstly im in the UK. and secondly im in my final year of uni. can i do this? where do i stand on this?

im just confused in general. so if anyone can offer some help, it'd be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunatly once you're in your last year of University the summer college program is no longer an option (you must be a returning student). I'm not sure about a 6 month college program (not offered here in Canada), but the 6 month seasonal program was cancelled this year (Disney got no Visas for that program). There is a year long academic program and I'm not too sure about the requirements for that program.

I'm not 100% sure but I don't believe you'll be able to get down on anything less than a year at this time, and I don't believe there's any UK positions until early 2008 for the Cultural Rep Program (again not sure about the year academic program).

Your best bet (aside from any information anyone else has on here) would be to contact Yummy Jobs since they do the UK recruting. They should be able to tell you more about what programs your eligable for as well as interview dates and program start dates.

If you are a final year student, Disney has a new programme you can do. it is a 6 month program where you work at Disney and go to an actual university in florida. contact Yummy Jobs, they will have all the information.

i know on the sheet which yummy jobs had me get my tutor signed there was a tick box which said 'tick here if you are in your final year'. Also i know companies such as CCUSA and CUNAC are now accepting students in their final year too.

    Hi James,

I'm in the same position as you, I graduate this year and really want do a graduate training scheme. I applied for several starting september 2007 but was unsuccessful, thats when I decided to apply for the 2008 CRP.

I contacted Yummy and they told me I could do the 12 month CRP starting in Feb 2008, or I could do the 6 month academic program, or the 6 month seasonal program from May to November 2008. I wont hear whether or not I'm successful until at least November.

I don't know what type of graduate scheme you are looking at but but I want to qualify as a professional accountant. I intend to start applying for September 2008 positions this September but you can defer these contracts so so if I'm successful with the WDWIP and get offered a graduate training scheme (wishful thinking) I'm going to try to defer entry onto the accounting program until september 2009 (needless to say my mother does not like this idea, but if I don't go to Disney now and start my career immediately I'll never get the chance to go to Disney). If I cant arrange a graduate training scheme before going to Florida, I will be home Feb/March 2009 and there are usually still positions for jobs in September. Any chance you could do this?

Still a little worried that my plans are a bit too ambitious and I will probably end up with no job at Disney and no graduate training scheme, but you've got to chase your dreams, at least if I don't get what I want I'll know I've tried.

Good luck and I hope all goes well for you! I might even be seeing you next year in sunny Florida!!!

    Donna
