company d is good, personally ive never found anything in there i actually wanted! the best place is the shed next door (property control) its amazing what junk you didnt think you needed but then when you see it discounted so much it instantly becomes the most desirable product in the world! when i go back im going to try and hold out on buying disney stuff until november so i can use the 40% discount (notice i said try, as in i'll probley last about a day before giving into temptation!)
How long does it take for your discount to kick in? Also, does the discount apply to DisneyLand in California? i.e. Could I travel to California after my year is up and use the company discount to see DisneyLand?
i know you can show your wdw id to get discount at the disney store, after traditions go to company d and get a cast discount brochure, its huge and shows everywhere you get discount,
Am I right in thinking we get discounts on non-disney hotels in the area as well or am I imagining i read that somewhere?
u get discounts in loads of non disney places with ur ID so i wouldnt be surprised if local hotels gave discounts to be honest
Some local hotels give discounts. Disney has a booklet called, (I think,) the Disney Difference giving a list of the benefits you get around Florida. Random hotels in, for example, St. Augustine give Disney castmembers discounts! As do some stores in the outlet mall close by. If you are going to Disneyland, go DURING your contract! On a Monday night my friend and I found a package to LA on http://www.lastminute.com that included airfare and a two-nights stay in a great hotel in Anahiem for $300 each, departing that Friday. Pretty good deal! We got to go to Disneyland for free, although you'll need your maingate pass to get in. You get that between 1 - 3 months after starting work. You get discounts on food and merch while there, 20%. If you go after your contract, you can use your not-for-sale passes. They are basically gifts from Disney - two one-day hopper passes for any of the Disney parks in the WORLD - except Disneyland Tokyo and DisneySea. They expire two years after being issued. ~ Jen
I used company D today to buy tickets for my family. Booking hotels and stuff you have to do on the cast portal, but if you want to buy tickets for visiting family and friends you need to do it through company d. Also if you want any behind the scene tour tickets you do it through them. They also have discounted merchandise.
Company D is pretty good, it's where you go to get Cast Member merchendise (ie. Hoodies, shirts, glasses, etc. that say WDW Cast Member on them). You can also get discounted park tickets (as well as water parks, and Halloween/Christmas party tickets). While it's true that I didn't find a lot there, I still have 2 shirts, 2 large plasic glasses, and a hoodie that all say Cast Member on them, and I value those a little more than the regular merch I bought.
There was NOT MUCH there when we went in yesterday but YES.....they do have discounted tickets for EVERYTHING in there which is GREAT!! The hours suck though but oh well.....you do what you gotta do!! Also went to get lost and found trailer and got sunglasses for $1 and that is GREAT!! Right now we have 40% off stuff so it is GREAT to go through the parks and stuff that is ALREADY discounted become OH so much cheaper!!
Company D, Cast Connection and Property Control are EVIL! yes, EVIL! You know why, because they take my money and nearly make me late for work And now the Winter Salsa Sale.....aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh I'm going tomorrow to the pin event...gotta love that 40% discount too....gotta buy quickly though! It finishes December 18th until Jan 2nd!
Ohh company D! I found the most awesomest watch that was originally $55, marked down to $20, and then the 20% discount. Huzzah!
