Just wondering if anyone could share stories or experiences or paint a better picture for me for what living at the commons is like for CRP's?? I lived in Vista for ICP in 06 but I was underage and I know CRP in the Commons is much different. If anyone's got info or stories or whatev i'd appreciate hearing about it :) Thaaaanks ;D

Nah, my fam is so used to me going on and on about Disney, old stories, and this whole application process - I'm sure that by now they've accepted that's never going to change :D Maybe they'll kick selective hearing into gear? :D

Commons is fun, crazy, wild, exciting. I mean you have people from all over the world mixing and mingling. Each country has different styles of parties, socializing. Security is always on the prowl to break up parties because there are so many. What else would you like to know? Many countries have throw-ins to welcome to newbies, so that adds another dimension to arrival days.
The pool is amazing, overlooking Mickey's Retreat. Your a quick walk over to the Outlet Mall and Panara Bread. I guess the main differences is the international aspect to the place. You don't have a bus to Magic Kingdom though, you have to walk over to Chatham for that. Let me know if I can let you know anything else!

Ahh outlet mall, Mickey's Retreat, fabulous pools - sounds like a little slice of paradise to me! :) Even walking over to Chatham for a bus to the Magic Kingdom is far easier than getting to MK from where I am right now! :D Gosh, we're just going to live in those parks! *fist pump*

I would definitely have to lock up my wallet though... that outlet mall would be far too enticing on a day to day basis! :D

I was an ICP living in Vista Way this summer but practically LIVED in The Commons the last half of my program!

First of all.. the apartments are amazing! They're a lot more spacious than those in VW, CS, and PC. Then, the best part are the Monday nights... every Monday is Happy Monday at The Commons. Think of it as a club, or a drinking team, each with its own traditions, songs, shirts, etc... for example the 'Lava' is the name of the Mexican girls Monday night club, 'Tlapa' for the Mexican boys, 'No Ma'am' for the Canadian boys, 'Snickabo' for Norwegian boys, 'Flickabo' for the Norwegian girls, and so on and so forth. Each team gets together around 11 or midnight to drink by themselves OR against another country's team, usually the opposite sex. For example, Tlapa vs Flickabo. After a while of crazy drinking games like beer pong, flip cups, and amazing party, security shuts it down around 2AM. This is when the afterparty begins. Since security is shutting down everyone's Happy Monday parties, everyone meets outside, and then somehow we all end up in a crazy international party in a random apartment, most of the time anyway... this wasn't always the case, and we all sometimes just hung out and drank in the street haha which was pretty cool as well...

Tbh, I miss these nights more than anything! Wish I was in Orlando tonight!

Commons life is great, Lots of partying especially monday nights. LOL Security can be bad and break up the parties. Never a dull moment at the commons. Any question feel free to ask. I was on the CRP from July 2007 to July 2008.

yeah... they're still puttin ppl in Patterson Court and not lettin them move... sucks really! poor things!

and yeah Dan.. its pretty easy, just make sure u get into The Commons before 9 haha.. either that or just go on the H bus to Wallmart and get off at TC... u can also do that with the F bus that goes to Downtown Disney and the Crossroads... thats what i did every monday night anyway ;D!

I want to be in the Commons all the way - And it sucks being split cause like people have said before - you can only be visiting people in other places till 1am, and that totally sucks if your partying or just wanting to hang out super late! I dont like how they're splitting people up!

I think/hope the odds are still a bit better to be placed in the Commons, especially since I know they're also placing some internship people in Patterson as well - which means a little less room for CRP folks!

but if you want to be a member of these clubs...like Lads or Lasses for us UK Pavillion peeps, to be a member you have to go through Initiations!!! Eeek! My friend had to eat a sheppards pie with a sock cooked in it, a pizza with edible insects on and icecream with them in too...then there was one called chilli crossfire where there were 4 cups per person, filled with tequila, chillis, tequila, chillis and there was only one 5th cup full of milk...the person who drinks the milk wins...it looked hideous! haha! But its only for one god awful night then they make u a t-shirt, give u a nick name and then ure one of the lads/lasses for life!
