Church???

A question for people who are currently there... anyone know if there is a church anywhere nearby that is easily accessible and what denomination it is? ie. baptist, catholic etc...

 

There is a Catholic Church just across the street from the Commons.

Something more in the Christian denominations... like baptist, evangilical... although in the southern united states, I'm not sure what denomination they are, but It'd be cool to visit one where they have the hard core gospel like in "the Fighting Temptations". That'd be so much fun!

The Catholic church is across the street? That's awsome ... although I've had my disaggrements with it lately it's still comforting to go to mass and confession sometimes.

I KNEW I'd heard it somewhere before

 

So I did a little bit of research. There is a church called the First Baptist Church of Lake Buena Vista. It's about a 6 minute drive from the commons and wouldn't be the easiest place to walk to since there's a major highway to cross but they said they have a bus service that could potentially pick people up. So there you go, if anyone else wanted to know!

 

Anyone know the nearest Methodist Church?

 

According to Yahoo maps, the closest one is Peace United Methodist Church. It says its about a 15 minute drive... so unless you have a car, it'll be pretty hard to get there since you have to take a major highway, but who knows, maybe Orlando has a decent transit system? Does anyone know?
I think the address is 13502 Town Loop Blvd, Orlando, FL 32837-5160 in case you want it.

Disney also had services on property. They used to be in the Polynesian Resort. There were 3 (I think) each Sunday. Unfotunately they discontinued the services a couple of years ago but they still have Catholic services in the Comtemporary Resort at easter and Christmas.

My mum's Catholic and absolutely loves Mary Queen of The Universe. Has a lovely atmosphere apparently.

If you guys r interested my pastor has the address of a non-demonational (prob mix of pentecostal/baptist style) church in Orlando. Afraid I dont have exact details at the moment cos he's been meaning to give me them but is away for next couple of weeks.
