Hey My flatmate got accepted on to the ICP flying out on June 4th aswell. He was however offered quick service F&B (his 1st choice) but has not decided he does not wanna do F&B and is sending them an e-mail asking to change to Merch - what do u all think abat needsout this? Will he be allowed - I have my doubts about it cause they blatanly need him and want him to do F&B and have gone to the bother of placing him in a gap that needs filled. Plus there are not that many places in Merch anyway. I think it will just piss them off - but hey its his problem (haha is that nasty?)
Changing ICP roles is very hard. It's not impossible - I did it upon arrival last year (the difference though is that I moved to a role that for some reason wasn't offered at my interview); however, I was very lucky. I'd be surprised if someone managed to move out of QSF&B, as that's an area where there always seems to be a need for more cast (to the extent that US CPs are paid a $0.50/hour bonus if working in an QSF&B role).
Woooooooooo yes hail to that 50 cent premium! Didn't realise I was getting it till last week... so now it's $6.90 instead of $6.40 lmao
