Does anyone have any information on CM's buying the Dining Plan? Do we have to be staying on resort? Can we purchase it for like a week of fine dining? Do we get a discount? Are we even allowed to purchase it?
I think you don't have to live at a resort to do this, but you have to buy a park ticket if I remember right. But they have a holiday discount thing were you get very cheap hotel rooms and the diningplan for only $20 a day ;D
you do have to be staying at a resort to get the dining plan. eat night you stay at a resort you get one day of the dininsg plan. regularly is about $40 per person per night to add the dining plan, but last time during some dates in novembe,r december and jan it was $20 for cast members.
Oh, that's a lot... You get: 1 Table-service Meal 1 adult table-service meal includes 1 entrée and 1 dessert (lunch or dinner only), 1 juice (breakfast only) and 1 single serving non-alcoholic beverage, or 1 full buffet. 1 child table-service meal includes 1 appetizer, 1 entrée, 1 dessert (lunch or dinner only) and 1 single serving non-alcoholic beverage, or 1 full buffet. Children ages 3-9 must order from a Children's Menu where available. 1 Quick-service Meal 1 quick-service meal includes 1 entrée or 1 complete Combo Meal, 1 dessert (lunch or dinner only) or 1 juice (breakfast only) and 1 single serving non-alcoholic beverage. Children ages 3-9 are limited to the Children's Menu (if one is available) at quick-service restaurants. 1 Snack 1 snack includes one of the following: frozen ice cream novelty, popsicle, fruit bar, popcorn scoop (single serving box), single serving grab bag of chips, single piece of whole fruit, 20-oz. bottle of Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite or Dasani water, medium fountain soft drink or juice, 12-oz. coffee, hot chocolate or hot tea.
Why don't you try the is the Disney Dining Plan? The Disney Dining Plan provides one full serve meal, one counter serve meal and one snack at select Disney World restaurants. _________________ Patio furniture
You wouldnt travel to Disney without it? thats a bit strong, lol. You have to think about the good and bad points of it. Good in a sense that it is a great deal, a lot of food for your money. But anyone whos been to Florida a lot will tell you there are much cheaper ways of going about saving money on food. For instance, go to any Sizzler, Ponderosa, basically any kind of all-you-can-eat breakfast type place and you get a huge buffet for like $4.99per person. Those kinda places will fill you up 'til afternoon time where you might wanna grab a snack, then have dinner later on. That sure wont set you back $40per person, per day. Those places are only really good if you have a car to get to them, otherwise you can pretty much discount it. Unless you're willing to catch the Disney Buses to Downtown Disney and walk to Crossroads, but imo thats a lot of effort for breakfast! Of course they do lunches too, and if you catch them at the crossover you can get breakfast/lunch foods at the same time this is true for lunch/dinner also ;D For people just roaming the parks everyday, it definately is a great deal and it means not carrying round a bunch of money too (unless you love to SHOP ;D)
To be honest, the disney dining plan I think is only really a good deal if your guna make use of the table service meal..As there normally at least $30 on there own..(But it doesn't include tip anymore apparently) You've gotta remember tho, the quick service meal only costs about $10 absolute maximum, like I say the table service is around $30..And the snack can only cost up 2 $4..So for me, I wouldn't feel its worth the hassle..Unless of course there doing the $20 offer for castmembers..Which I'm not sure how long that runs for..Like someone said I think its normally for off peak seasons like october, november etc...
I'll buy a bit of food from Walmart, use the local buffet places mostly. If they offer this service cheap for us then i'll take it up for a treat or something ;D
I think you have to buy one day pass into the park in order to get the dining plan. But those don't expire so you can save them for someone visiting or your next visit. Once you have the one day you can get the dining plan for your entire stay at a Disney hotel
