    hey everybody!

on October 19th I'll get to WDW and I just can't wait :)

I'm a triathlete and I was wondering, does anybody know if there's any sport group for Cast Members? Like a running / triathlon club or something.

    Thanx & see yall soon!

theres always charity runs going on and theres the wdw marathon to do. not sure about clubs i walked the charity runs lol

i know for keep fit you have the gym which can get busy at the complex or you can pay a fee like $25 a month or something to use the sports facilities at some of the different resorts. i think theres also cast member events that get held at world of sports too.

are the cast member facilities always really crowded then? is that just the gym or include the pool and courts etc. and do u mean there is a sports event where cast members can enter? like a sports day. or do u have to be a proper fitness freak and extremely sporty to enter, or can u enter just for fun?

Most of the events held for cast members within the complexes are jsut for fun though the mini world cup 3 on 3 tourny drew some attention (Germany won). As for something along the lines of what your looking for in triathalon and running there was nothing specific set up during my time there for that. As for being crowded the Patterson Court one is generally busier as its newer, bigger and has more space. The Commons gym is smaller and has limited equipment but as the evening draws on its much easier to get in there. Most times once it gets past around 8 or so I rarely saw people there usually just during the day.

Gold gym isnt too far away if you have a car or friend with a car that is a total proper gym. As for the pools and stuf being crowded the pool will be crowded when its nice out with the sun and heat. Everyone will be there so not sure how well youll be able to swim train. As for the courts they arnt *too* bad but the Bball ones can get a bit full.

    Hey!
Just wondering about the gyms at the complexes?
I'm assuming we can use either one despite which complex we live in? Like can we use the gym at Patterson Court even if we are living at the Commons?
And what are the hours for the gyms like?

    Thanks ;D

You can use the gym and the pool in the other complexes as long as it's during the hours we can visit the other complexes without being signed in (after that you would have to be signed in). I believe the gym opened at 8am and it closed at 1am.

No prob :). The gym complexes are really nice. I never found them too busy whenever I used them. Also since we live in Little Lake Bryan doing the program, you can go for runs around the community since there are sidewalks.

That's good to know. Going to the gym is part of my routine so it's good to know I'll be able to keep that up ... IF I get accepted lol. I'm getting ahead of myself with planning everything as usual :D

Haha, don't worry I did the same thing thinking of everything I would do and get to see before I got accepted. I also found working helped you get lots of exercise depending on what role you had. During my ICP last summer I did Merch and you get quite a good workout filling ice cambreos and help stocking the carts since you are just running around all the time.

Haha ya. I'm imagining that work itself is a workout :D I've worked as a server and it's definitely alot of running around. I can only imagine whatit's like at a restaurant at Epcot

Well needless to say it is a big change from alot of normal restaurants. The pavallion restaurants are FULL FULL almost every night. THough there are times with downtimes where its not toooo bad. THough in the summer and at christmas its at its peak. Where you will have a full restaurant and big waitlists. So your assignors will be pushing you to go go go! The faster you move the more you make though so its to your benefit really. And beleive me it is a work out. Once I got into food running and serving I dropped 20 pounds without even trying! Granted Im a big guy so its much easier for me haha.

Haha, that's what I love about working at Disney. You are just so busy and on the go all the time. Both programs I lost weight and on my first one actually managed to fit into jeans I hadn't been able to wear in years. The sad thing is once I got home and wasn't as active I went back to my pre-Disney size lol.

You are just so busy down there between working and going to the parks. It's constantly go-go-go. Coming back to Sudbury and not having that constant busy pace was tough.
