Heya, Just wondering if anyone knows a wise amount to take for the 3 month college program? I'm thinking a few amounts at the moment but can anyone advice me whats a good basic amount? Or anyone who's been before for the 3 months, how did you survive money wise? I know it'll be different for a lot of people cos of tastes and stuff but im just looking for a wee bit of advice ??? So far I have $1100 but Im aiming for $1500. This is only because I want to make sure Im not strapped for cash and then at the end I can spend it on myself.
I took about $700 or $800 for the 3 months last year. most of my friends only seemed to take about $400. What i took was more than enough!
I took 500 to start. It seemed to last me awhile, by the time I ran out I was getting paid. What u make is enough to let u survivie via rent and food, but not much else. If you plan on doing more stuff and buying lots, then take more money.
Hiya, Like the others said you can take as much or as little as you need. I find it is the smart thing to go over with quite a bit say $800-900 possibly more depending on what resources you have. I took a load my parents gave me as a reserve but never touched it. You'll probably go through around £300 before you get paid but most of that cheque goes on your accomodation caus you owe them for a week or whatever it is. I'd suggest taking $1000, put $500 in the safe in your room for emergencies and see how it goes. Pretty much everyone I knew when I was there had more money wired out from their parents caus they were all skint!! Totally up to you! Have an awesome time, I loved it! A xx
