Cardiff Interview?

I was just wondering if anyone on here is going to the interview in Cardiff ?

I'm off to the Cardiff interview! Looking forward to it, can imagine the nerves kicking in nearer the time tho! 2 weeks today! X

 

I was going to come to Cardiff, but they got me to go to london at last notice last week.

thats strange that they did that, but i'm sure you did great anyway! what kind of questions did they ask you?! and do you know when you'll find out?

Also Dan, don't worry, we're all in the same boat, we can all be nervous together!!

 

Well what i had prepared for was for no reason.
I was going to have Roger, but then Michelle came out first so she interviewed me. She didnt look at my cv during the interview and just asks questions seeing how you will react to different situations and how you can relate previous experience to your answer. She also asked "Why should disney employ me?" which threw me slightly as I hadnt head that before, but otherwise I think it went alright - they dont give much away.
Roger the other interviewer, asks more personal questions like what your favourite character/movie is and he looks at your previous jobs in your cv and asks questions on them from what I have heard.
They ask a few times if you have been to WDW before and aware you know it is going to be hot and about living with other nationalities so definately have an answers for that.
Just know your favourites, and be prepared for some role play sort of questions then you have all bases covered.
I should hopefully find out this week or next. Surprisingly the waiting isnt that bad at the moment, was bad at the begining and I will suspect it will get bad in about a week.
You have no reason to worry about the interiew, everyone is so nice and it is surprisingly easy to talk everyone without knowing their name at all. Enjoy it!

It's annoying having to wait another 2 weeks for the interview when lots of you have already done it, but I guess us late ones get a bit of your hindsight etc so it's not too bad
I'm actually excited for it, so as long as I keep that up and the nerves don't get too bad, hopefully it'll be ok!

As the Cardiff ones on the 10th, i wonder how long they'll take to let us know. I know you've all said they said about 2 weeks for you, but I don't know if it'd be the same for us with Christmas and everything... would be great to know though, could be the best, or I guess worst present ever! I'm guessing we'll have to wait to nearer New Year to find out!

 

hi guys!! im going to the cardiff interview as well. can't believe its 13 days away...feels so near yet so far...my legs are already shaking and butterflies are 'swimming' in my tummy. aaahhhh! i wonder how long the interview will take and how many interviewees for this one....

Definantly flaunt any accent you have!!
I got in today for Attractions, and people always say I have a posh english accent - whihc may have help me!

As for the accents, I guess I have a Welsh one,but its not a very strong one compared to the valleys etc, so I don't know if it'll help

As for how many people there will be I don't think it'll be as full as some of the others as it starts later etc. Where are you from feamoda?
I'm starting to get nervous now, just knowing that people know already whether they have the job or not! I hope it'll be alright....I guess we'll have to see what happens!


Any tips for us Cardiff folk? people have been really helpful and said some already,but as the day gets closer I guess panic strikes a bit more! x

I wasn't asked any role play questions so can't really help you there. I was asked my fav disney character, and my fave place in disney!
my advice is to chat to as many people as you can, not just one person all day - maybe a small group of people? i arrived with some people, and chatted to them and others every chance i got, about general things as well as disney. while waiting for the interview there was probably about 8 of us - and the yummy jobs people wander round, so I would assume they are looking for that as well!

Hey, Ive got my interview in Cardiff too...i'm really looking 4ward 2 it but nervous as well!!! The waiting to find out if we have been accepted is definitely going to be the worst part though i think!! I just want to know if i'm going or not lol! Any1 on here picked merchandise? ;D xx

 

Ah I feel the same, it'll soon be over I guess!
I want to do merch. Apparently we get a seperate role list at the interview, so there will be different ones to the ones we have now. What other things would you be interested in doing? x

 

Hmmm i'm not sure really...I wouldn't mind lifeguarding, i'm not fussy to be honest, just want 2 go lol! As long as its nothing to do with food i'll be happy! wbu? U got far 2 travel to cardiff? xx

Nope, I live in Cardiff anyway, but am in uni atm,but its not far . yourself?

 

Ahh ur lucky...iv got a 4 hour train journey from north wales! I'm traveling down the night before and staying in a travel inn...couldn't b doing with traveling the same day of the interview lol! I can't believe its just over a week away now!!! Do u think we will find out before xmas or not till after? I think most people find out within 2 weeks...so that means christmas eve for us!!! xx
