Canuck crew!!!

Hey fellow Canadians...and anyone else, really! Those UKers seemed to have come up with an interesting idea...getting to know each other. (Uk june crew discussion.) So I think we should do the same!!!

I think the Calgary interviewers know a bit about each other already, but as a refresher, and for everyone else, maybe we should tell everyone a bit about ourselves anyways.

Ok, here goes:
My name's Katie, I'll be 19 when I go to Disney, I work at Shopper's Drug Mart right now...(yawn, I know!) Some of my hobbies and stuff are my horse, working out, and friends, of course! I'm going to university right now, which keeps me really busy at times. I love to travel, but my favourite place in the world is Grand Beach, Manitoba. (of course, that could change after a year in Disney!!!) I love all kinds of music, (well, some pop and country I love a little less) and I like to try new things...who else really wants to go to Discovery Cove sometime while we're there???
I'm going to Disney on June 21, and I'm still sooooooo excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my name is elizabeth, i'll be 20 when i go down to disney..im from bc...hrmm im taking hotel restaurant management in school and it's an okay program...this is my last semes comign up...unlike you guys im leaving a little later..(i wotn be there till september 5th 05) so i'll have to meet you all down there a little later and do some catch up partying...in my spare timei love to TRAVEL, learn new languages, hang out and meet new people. i love every type of music out there..cept that hardcore crazy loud metal music...(but get me listening to it a lot and i'llprolly start to like it) gwen stefani is currently my music obsession right now!!!
i currently work inthe restaurant industy and it's pretty good im enjoying it...when im disney i'll be working in F&B...so ya..i think that pretty much sums it up...

my name is Claude. I live in Winnipeg, MB. I am 21 and I will be going to Disney March 15/05, wow, that's soon... I am currently completing a certificate in management at the U of M and I am a full-time banker. I like playing pool, baseball, curling, and golf. I enjoy watching movies and being with friends. I love watching hockey and football. I want to sky dive and travel. When I get to WDW, I will be working in F&B.

Is anyone up for coming to some Flea Markets? My family goes to Florida every year and i know of a few good markets. We will alsdo have to go to Old Town! Its awesome!

Im recently home now, because of a death in my family but im going back on the 2nd of January and I can't wait, I am Missing Florida So much right now! Hey Everyone!!!!

I'm Sandra and I'm heading down to WDW on June 21st... same day as Katie. And, sadly, I will be 27 when I get to Disney. I live in Toronto. I work at the Disney Store... and have for the last 7 years!!! I also started working at the Hockey Hall of Fame a few months ago and I absolutely love it there. Needless to say, I am also a huge hockey fan. It's a little depressing being surrounded by hockey at work and listening to all the comments about the lockout, but I still love it. I miss not being able to go to Ottawa and Montreal to watch the Leafs play. If all goes well, and I really hope it does, who's up for a road trip to Tampa Bay for some hockey?? I didn't even realize that Discovery Cove was still open. I thought for some reason it had closed. Maybe I'm thinking of something else. I can't even begin the list of things I want to do while I'm down there. There are just so many things.

@ Sandra - Count me in too, I love hockey..and I heard that the prices for tix are fairly low in the southern states. I'm not a big leafs fan.... but I'll go to a leaf game with you if you come to a canadians game

Hey guys!

It seems like us Canadians are not being represented very well on the boards lately. I'm sure as our departure dates draw nearer that will all change (just look at how much most of us posted just before the interviews happened!!). So, about me...I'm 19 (be 20 after 4 months in Florida) living in Calgary. I'm currently in my first year in journalism (hey Casey--I'm doing broadcast next semester) at the college here after taking 2 years off after high school. I work part time at Old Navy and as a server at a restaurant in a theme park called Heritage Park. I know, lame jobs but they pay the bills and will provide much needed spending money in Florida! I'm leaving for Disney June 14th for food and beverage and am so excited, although it STILL hasn't suck in yet. Guys, I'm up for doing all of the dorky touristy things with you while in Florida!! Might as well make the most of it! Well, if I'mm not on the boards in the next few days, hope you all have a GREAT new years and remember that next year we'll probably all be celebrating it by working at Epcot all night...meh, I can think of worse ways to spend my time!!

Okay everyone my name's Lisa and I live in Chilliwack BC. I'm 18 and i'm going to college here taking arts courses. I'm a musical theatre nut and all i listen to is showtunes and Disney. I work at a swim suit shop out here and i try to work on or be in as many musicals as possible. I leave for Florida June 21st for Merch. I am also a huge hockey fan and would love to catch some games in Miami or Tampa but my team is the Canucks, so sorry to all you leaf fans. Flea Markets sound awesome as well as Discovery Cove. This will be my first time to Florida so i want to do all i can in the year.
My favorite Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast and i would love to be able to play Belle one day. This is my next target after finishing at Epcot!

So, it's nice to get to know you guys, so far i'm the baby of the bunch...

Hey guys My name's Jo, I'm 21 and will be starting in Merch June 14th!!!! I looooooove Disney, no surprise there! I'm in my second year of University studying design and filmmaking, haven't decided which one I love more. I'm totally up for Discovery Cove, I want to swim with dolphins too Anyone else like to draw? It would be nice to go to Animal Kingdom and sketch all those beautiful animals, that's on my to do list.
So did anyone else get that huge dumping of snow? It's safe to say that was definitely a blizzard the other night.

Huge dump of snow? You better believe it. After the plow passed, I had a 6 foot wall of snow to destroy before getting out of the driveway.

My favorite disney movies are: Goofy movie, aladin, mulan, and peter pan.

I may not be able to draw... at all, I mean stick men are sometimes questionable. But hey, I'd love to do go to the animal kingdom and hang out with you.

 

Hey Casey... sure I'm up for a Panthers game. I guess I just thought of the Lightning first because I watched them play more last season.

Another thing that I would really like to do down there is see all the resorts.... stay a night at each. One thing that I've always wanted to do, but my schedule never allowed it, was to celebrate my birthday in Disney. Now, I'll get the chance. I'm really looking forward to Christmas down there too.

Made a point of saying last night that I was going to Disney THIS year. I was at a friend's house and she did the program a few years ago. I was looking through her scrapbook and saw a video that her friend had made her. It made me want to go that much more.... not that I really need anymore encouragement.

ok, my name is Jenny Routledge and I'm from Truro, Nova Scotia I'm 22 and I'll turn 23 in July, I love sewing and all sorts of different crafts, I work at Fabricville and I was right in the middle of applying to a Fashion Design, Costume Design course at George Brown college when I got my Disney call so now plans have changed and I'll probably attend school when I come back. I hope to be a Costume Designer someday.....wish I could work in the Costume Department at Disney, that would be awsome. And well I love all sorts of music and I love movies.....I'm crazy about Tim Burton movies and I can't wait to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when it comes out. I really love the Brendan Leonard Show 8), and now I watch the new shows on the camp jinx website. When I'm not working I'm either at home or the Kingdom Hall, I'm a Jehovah's Witness so going to meetings and service is a big part of my life and I really enjoy it so ya I can't wait to explore everything while at Florida, swimming with the Dolphins sounds so nice but I just can't wait to hangout at the Magic Kingdom......It's my favorite park and I love fantasy land.
