Hello, I just got home from a visit to Disneyworld and I loved the World Showcase! I'm a Canadian resident and would love to get more information on working in the Canadian Pavilion and finding out more information on the application process (including how to apply). However, I'm also in college and don't want to postpone my studies any further. So, ideally, I would love to spend a summer (May - August) working at the pavilion, but I am not sure about an entire year. Is it possible to work for just a few months, or do you have to commit to a year? Also, do you have to go whenever the tell you, or are there set start dates (ie: you can apply this summer for next summer etc)? Any information would be much appreciated! Thanks!
Hey there! To my knowledge for the CRP programme there isn't a summer thing going on - I believe it's a full year programme. But there is a summer programme to work in Walt Disney World ... it's called ICP! You basically get jobs in merch, food and so on. I'm not Canadian personally, but I'm studying in Toronto now for university and I'm planning to apply for ICP Summer 2009 ... you have to send Yummy Jobs your resume in June this year. I'm so ridiculously excited about this (I love Disney with all my heart) - and I don't know of anyone else Canadian applying for Summer 2009, so please let me know if you want to be friends - we can work on our applications together! What part of Canada are you from. I belive the west coast intervies are the next ones comeing up. They tend to do them in the fall and the east cost ones in the spring. Would not matter at the moment I guess since you are probbly planning for next summer. The interviews for this summers CP are done now. But if your from the wast cost I would send my resame to them by the end of June. If your from the east cost keep an eye out in December or January. If they are still doing it the same time. You can always e-mail them and ask. Yummy is VERY quick at getting back to you, and you will probbly get a reply the same day you send it. (Well maybe not if you e-mail today, might want to wait for Monday.) They can tell you when to send in your resame for the next interview in your area. Also, you can only get into the CP if your in a 4 or more year progam. I ran into that problem, I finished college then was going to be going back for more, and thought maybe I would get into the CP to try a summer out but they told me it had to be a 4 year program. So I had to give up retuning next year and went for the CRP. (Which is the full year program.) Also, I dont belive the CP's work in the pavilions. They work other places in the park. I COULD be wrong though. But I think they save the Pavilions for the CRP's. Good luck though. If you do get in for next summer I will see you around I am sure.
