Canadians on the Opportunity List

Hi all!

I know I'm not the only one still left on the Opportunity List for Disney World. This really sucks.
I just want to know if I'm going or not! Is that so much to ask? Haha.

I keep emailing Kristen to see if she has heard anything...still nothing

I noticed that all the people who have gotten start dates are either F&B or Attractions. Nobody for Merchandise...does anyone else find that weird? I wonder why that is.

 

Your not the only one!! The waiting is killing me too, more so after some others got calls! :-\ Its keeping me from making decisions, but I still have faith, just keep thinking good thoughts ! Im wondering about them not hiring any merchies yet too, i put merch as my #1 choice. Also they haven't hired for Jan/Feb as far as I know, which they said at the interview they were hiring for Oct-Feb. I was hoping it not being that late, but right now i'd take anything even if its that far away!

Yeah it sucks but I'm kind of over obsessing about it. At this point I either get it or I don't. It's annoying too because it does prevent you from planning certain things like going back to school or moving out, which are things I'm planning on doing if I don't go to Disney.
But I'll just keep waiting LOL. I actually start a new job on Monday that's in F&B so hopefully that'll help me out.

In the initial email we got telling us we've been put on the wait list it said they'll keep our info until Sept 15th. So does that mean that if they haven't called us with a start date by then then we're not going? I'm assuming it does. :-\

 

Hey Canadians!!
I was on the UK waitlist for an epic 6 months. We were told that they would keep us on the list until the end of feb but we didnt come off it until april so dont worry. if they said sept then you will hear from them by then so dont worry about that either. I know how hard the waitlist is but i know you guys can do it. It did stop me from making plans too but you will forget about all that when you get a start date. All of the UK waitlist got dates so lets hope its the same for you guy.

Hihi I was waitlisted for a couple weeks and I got hired for merch, my first choice. But im the only one I've seen so far based off of this site! I start in October and I'm very excited!!

 

I'm pretty sure you are the only one that got the merch role in Canada because nobody on the facebook group got merch yet. Happy to hear you got in!

I am from Ontario Canada.
I was on the waitlist for about a week and I got merch which was my first choice!!!
I might have even seen some of you at the interview in vancouver, who knows!

I had been on the waitlist since January-February and had pretty much forgotten about it until yesterday, when I was pulled off. It can totes happen!!!
