Just wondering if anybody knows...I was told by somebody that we have to pay some type of sales tax when crossing the border when bringing your car across, does anybody know if this is true??
I would imagine if you're going to keep your car in the states you would have to pay to register your car down south (if you're going to be there for longer then X amount of months) I have never heard of any "tax" or fare to get over the boarder. But who knows.
I didn't have to pay anything to go down, no. But my brother (who also did the program) had to pay money when he returned....I did not. It seems that the boarder guards weren't quite sure what the correct procedure was. Good luck!
