Hey guys, I'm a former crp who married an American and still lives in the good ol USA. It has been a little over a year and a half since I've been in Canada and as you can probably imagine, there are things (food) that I really miss that you probably will too. Some people are lucky enough to have friends/family visit who for example bring you a bag of ketchup chips or what have you, but others don't. SO. I found a really cool site for those who are dying for a Vachon treat, poutine sauce or whatever! http://www.canadianfavourites.com/ Obviously they are more expensive than if you bought them in Canada, but hey, when ya gotta have it, ya gotta have it. What I'm really excited about is that they have President's Choice products, specifically their line of sauces/marinades "Memories of __(Kashmir, Montego Bay, etc)___"... Have you tried cooking with them? They're so good! Americans really don't get the whole gravy/sauces thing unless it's bbq or white country gravy :-\ At Publix you can find maybe 3 different Dare cookie varieties (Maple, Double Fudge and sometimes Coconut Cream) but that's about it as far as Canadian products. Enjoy your program.... anything can happen! EDIT: did I forget to mention.... YOU CAN ORDER TIM HORTONS PRODUCTS FROM THAT SITE!!
You are the Best manda!!! Slash can I come visit you in Texas?... I want to meet some real COWBOYS!!!!
Sure thing A-Hawkes! The cool thing about the part of Texas I live in, is that it's an Island so you got the surf scene too, plus artist-types and of course the cowboys Good population of bikers too... Sexy sh*t down here Seriously though, I'm happy I found this site too. I looove that Imperial Cinnamon Spread stuff, and my mom won't send me any lol When I get my tax refund, I'm so going on a little Canuck shopping spree haha
