I am from Canada more specifically Ontario and was wondering what type of products (food etc) to bring with me that we aren't able to find in Florida? Example being certain kinds of chocolate bars and candies that we might take for granted living in Canada.

    Cadbury chocolate.
I guess they don't have it there but there is a box of like 70 assorted bars at Shoppers Drug Mart that I plan to bring with me.

The States is pretty limited in their selection of potato chips! Take note if you are a fan of ketchup or dill pickle ;)

They don't have All-Dressed either. Most of our good chocolate bars. Kraft Dinner. Swiss Chalet sauce. Poutine Sauce. Maple Cookies. That was pretty much my shopping list for my family. I had so much left over, my throw-out was almost entirely food!!!

well it looks like i'll have to go to swiss chalet before i leave and drink a lot of sauce to help me get through my time without. i am not a huge chip eater but i am sure i will crave the chocolate bars we won't be able to find. does the canadian pavillion sell any canadian junk food we won't find else where?

Whoa - they don't have KD in the States?!?! Honestly, I don't like the stuff, but I figured it was easily obtainable throughout North America! Even in Britain they have the (apparently mediocre, according to my flatmates) substitue of Kraft Cheesy Pasta.

    WOW.

I remember being excited a few years ago when I was in Orlando and found Pebbles cereal. I hadn't seen it in years!

they have kraft dinner but it's different than canadian kraft dinner. just relax guys. it'll be ok. the canada pavilion sells lots of goodies but they are so expensive. the chocolate bars (aero, coffee crisp, mr. big, wunderbar, smarties, jersey milk, caramilk) are $2.67 after tax. there are cheaper goodies ($1.50-$2.50) like sweedish fish, sour patch kids.

Tim Horton's is always good!! I'm missing my Timmy's coffee.

Just let your friends and family at home that you want lots of care packages with anything that you're gonna miss.

Ok I know there are things that we can get down there that we are all used to but I find that when I am in the US I am always finding so many new and different products that never make it to Canada especially in the junk food department - I think unless you are a dark chocolate fan (as the canadian stuff is way better) you'll be fine... Doesn't anyone like mallow cups or mr goodbars? they are sooo good!

It always works both ways! Part of the fun of going away is getting to try new things, including food. I used to hardly eat chocolate at all until going to Europe and now it's absolutely pathetic how it has pretty much become my fifth food group.

and I've actually never had a Mr. goodbar... but its sounds like it would be a good bar.

Ba da bump ching! oh, so punny.

I'm so excited to hear that they sell more chocolate bars than Coffee Crisp now!!! That was all they had when i was there...and we hardly ever had them. We used to play Jenga with them with guests and give the winners the ones that would fall and break!!! My fellow Merchie, Cindy, and I came up with all these rules and everything and wrote them all out in the Post book one day. Such a fun game...we'd even export it up to KIDCOT in the BTQ. Miss Coffee Crisp Jenga!
