Canadian Pavillion Uniforms

Hey everyone, il be starting at the cdn pavillion in July - F&B. I hear everyone starts on the popcorn cart? Do the males wear full length pants or are there some available? ive seen some pics but the bottom of the leg is never in it. I have a tattoo that needs hiding, the disney rep at my interview said they did but i just want to make sure!

Yes for the guys they have full length pants... Girls not so much. Culottes it is for us!!

 

Hold up...culottes? That sounds terribly unflattering! I thought everyone wore khaki shorts. Does anyone have a picture?

 

haha this is a super random picture and I don't know who the people are, but those are girl culottes!! They're like really long skorts...haha.

haha that girl looks really familiar.. but it looks like it's old. But then again culottes were only brought to Canada a few maybe 3 or 4 years ago.
If the tattoo is low enough you can cover it up with you sock, otherwise you can have pants. There's some guys who never wore shorts of their contracts.

they were both their at the end of my contract.. they guy is ty... and cant rememeber the girls name.. they both worked attractions!! and they are *supposed* to be high waisted... i always just got a size to big so they would sit normal ahaha

I think she arrived maybe 2-4 weeks before i finished my contact so i don't remember her much.. and i never worked with him.

 

The shorts are weird fitting so most guys where the pants anyways. They apparently ride up in all the wrong places lol

 

Ya that's Angela and Ty... Ty only started near the end of my contract, but Angela was there when you were still there Kate, not sure when she started exactly but I know Jaime knew her and you guys left the same day... But since the worlds of attractions/merch and f&b very rarely collide, you may have never met her...

For the culottes ya, just get a size bigger and they'll sit normal. You can also choose whether you want them to be "regular" or "long" cut, so the waist is the same size, but they are longer/shorter. Good for if you have a calf tattoo or if you are particularly short/tall.
I found the shirts to be cut short for working purposes considering you have to tuck them in. When you open the cart in merchandise there is a lot of stretching to reach things as well as bending down to unhook things... pretty much always comes untucked.
I always found the boys shorts funny, because there is no escaping looking like a boy scout leader in them, especially if you're on popcorn and have to wear that ridiculous hat. No pictures of that beauty, eh?

Oh, and for the record: "uniforms" is a no-no. What you wear is called a costume you're going to be a cast member, working both onstage and backstage and your costume is an important part to your role.... you'll catch on

 

When I worked popcorn I think I had to have been the messiest looking cast member haha. I refused to wear my culottes any higher than my normal pants and my shirt was constantly untucked... Maybe that means I was a very hard worker... I'll go with that lol.

O the hats... I pray to god that I don't have to be on p-cart for very long this time around lol. that hat absolutely stinks especially when it gets rained on or you sweat... so everyday lol.

This is Ty, he is an all star cast member...and sporting the hat! He was my main trainer and always got mad at me for putting my sunglasses on my hat when I was working...

 

NOTHING can beat how we looked working Food and Wine! The end of the day I would be covered in beer, wine, cheese soup, hand prints from the stupid gloves we wore all over my pants, awful awful mess, but loved every second! EHHHHHH!

 

The jacket...best part of the costume imo

 

Oh yah, about the shorts, technically they are only supposed to be for working ODF since we dont have any AC at the cart, but merch and attractions started wearing them too and no one seemed to care. But yah, they are super short, super tight, and really make no difference in that heat compared to the pants haha. I wore them a few times, but stuck with the pants (your butt looks better in them anyways )

The only girl I ever saw wering the lez shorts was Lauren... in her own words " I dont do culottes", and no one ever made an issue about it with here haha.

 

Bahhaha that was New Years Eve hahaha. I love Lauren!

Food and Wine was amazing but Horrible at the same time. Popcorn cart was wayyyy better when it was over near off kilter... basically because we could sing and dance with people haha and throw kernels at the ducks hahaha

 

and front row illuminations!

 

great. just relieved that there for sure is pants... esp after hearing what was said above about the shorts, yikes lol
