I was just curious as to what kind of shoes ppl in the Canadian Pavillion have to wear? surely they aren't black ones, that would look a little weird with the rest of the outfit, unless you're working at le Cellier.
I was told that if you work in foods you need solid black slip proof shoes, and you wear that with the lumberjack costume and le cellier costume. Merchandise and attractions wear the hiking boots.
Ty do we (in foods) get two diffrent costumes? This is a good topic, I really would like to buy mine here.
I want pretty flats. I had the same question...if we got two costumes. Like will we start out on the popcorn cart? (aka beer mmm) or do we start outside seating people? I'm a huge loser and have already started studying the menu.
In Le Cellier they were the non slip black shoes they have pants (forget what colour beige I think maybe black.. ya maybe black) and a redish kinda checkered pattern shirt. At the popcorn cart you wear the plaid shirt and the shorts/pants/coolats (sp?) but you dont have to wear the boots you do get a hat aswell. If you are in merch you wear the plaid shirt the pants/short/coolats as well as BLACK SOCKS (you probably have to wear that with every outfit) with brown hiking boots
Yes, the popcorn cart is part of food and beverage. Is there time to buy shoes down there? Will there be an evening or so between when they tell us exactly what is expected and when we need it? It's going to be hard enough to pack everything so I'd rather get things I don't have down in Florida.
I heard of people doing it. I think A7adragon did cause she did not know what kind she needed. You get more free time then I ever thought you did, I just rather not have that on my to do list when I get there. LOL.
ya I did buy down here but I didnt know what kind of shoes at the time so I did my first day of trainin in runnin shoes
Almost everyone buys their shoes when they get there. You do have time to shop before your first shift of work. You can get your footwear at Wal-Mart or a lot of people shop at the outlet mall next door to the Commons. My son actually knew what he needed before leaving Canada, he was driving and bought his boots here first but he would have waited until he arrived if he was flying. This is his second time working at WDW. The first time was a 6 month program and he needed two different colors of shoes - bought them both there after he arrived. If you are Canada F&B you just need the black shoes, even for popcorn cart when you wear the Merch/Attrac. costumes. Everyone else (Merch/Attrac) wears hiking boots - they have to be brown in color and have no tags or logos/names or anything on them - just plain brown. You should have no trouble picking some up once you've arrived and before you start working on the job.
