    hey!
The Phone interview today went really smooth and I worried more than I should have. The Interview in TO - as far as I was told it is not a group interview.
And Tyler no Im not from the GTA - Im about 4 hours North of Toronto!
Hope everyone gets their phone interviews soon!

  7. Nope, they're only open Monday - Friday I believe.

Also it's not a group interview, they start with a 2-our presentation session and then go into one-on-ones after that :)

Good luck to all of you! Just enjoy the process!

...and the day you get the phone call will definitely go down as being the best day of your life....

... and the waiting for your start date is the worst....

... and man... i am scared that they are all ready doing another round of interviews... my time down there is limited... and i haven't even started yet!

hey tessa, - or anyone else that went to the face-2-face interviews.
Just out of curiousity - how many people did you think went to the interviews? Were there tons and tons of people? Just wondering...

  11. For the November interview in Vancouver (I counted hee hee) there were about 45, and someone from Calgary told me there were only around 25 there. So it was pretty small, everyone I know got in, so it was pretty great!

Thanks Tessa, I am looking forward to the interviews - obviously really nervous though. But thanks for answering my question - I just wasnt sure how many people were going to be attending.
And Congrats on this great opportunity. You must be really excited

  13. I totally understand about asking a MILLION questions and being nervous for the interview!

Man, I was so nervous before mine - because I just wanted is SOOO badly - I have so many pages of possible questions that I was practicing almost every night so I would be ready.
    Feel free to ask away!

Tessa, you're amazing for answering our questions!!!

    I have a few... lol...

    1. How long is the one-on-one interview?
    2. Is the interviewer friendly or businesslike?
    3. Did you have a good idea if you got it after the interview?

I'll probably think of more later... haha

ETA: I do have one more!!! Do you know if you get a choice on when to go? They said September or December to me on the phone and I'd MUCH rather go in Sept!

  15. The one-on-one lasts between 5-20 mins. The schedule them for every 15 mins, mine lasted a bit longer because I got Dawn - the female Disney rep and she didn't know the answers to some of the questions I had so we had to wait for Jeff (the main Disney rep guy) to finish his interview to ask some things.

Dawn and Jeff were NOT business and scary at ALL, I got Dawn and she was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO friendly!
I had a great chat with her, I was SO nervous in the beginning but totally loosened up right away because of her great attidude. It didn't feel like she was judging me or anything, she was however writing notes during the chat which was kinda nerve wracking, but when Nicola called to say I got in she said next to mine name it said "HIRE!" wit ha big star, so Dawn must have been writting good things! :D

RIGHT after my interview I felt GREAT! Because of the way she had phrased things it sounded like I had it (which I did)
But as time went on I felt worse and worse and worse :p I was just obsessing over it and I didn't wait to think "yay! I rocked it! I'm SO in!" in case I didnt get it you know?
But I think deep down I felt great about it, but was too nervous to say it :)

Ask away with anything else you'd like to know :)

    I agree with Tessa

I had Jeff as an interviewer. They are both AMAZING. I must admit i felt like i was going to be sick to my stomach before... and even made a trip to the washroom. There were many times throughout the two hour presentation i considered bailing.

...My interview was incredibly short... i don't think it was any more than five minutes... SO i guess what i am trying to say is, definitely don't be nervous.

AND, if you have a short interview, don't worry. if anything the shorter your interview, the better. That just means you gave them the answers they wanted without them having to dig too deeply. AND tessa... your just awesome - you have an excuse for your 20 min interview.

I remember freaking out waiting for the phone call... and being upset about the short length of the interview... i went through every question he asked in my mind over and over again... thought of better answers.... guessed as to why i didn't get it etc etc.... but when the phone call came... best day of my life.

ANYWAYS... good luck to everyone.. can't wait to see you all in Florida... the wait to get there is murder... just so everyone knows!

For the Canadians that made it - and will be working at DisneyWorld in the upcoming months - congradulations - I am so excited for you - I just hope to be joining everyone in the near future.
I was wondering - how long after the face-2-face interview did you get a call back to say you got the job? It must have felt like a life time!

  18. OH BOY! did it ever!!!

My interview was November 18th and they told us if we hadn't heard by December 7th to call them and we either didn't get it or were waitlisted. But on here people in the UK had mostly all heard 10 days after their intreview.......I didn't get called untill December 5th! (monday) Tanis got the earliest call on December 2nd (friday) and boy oh boy had I ever TOTALLY given up!

But they will - hopefully - give you a date you will know by. Good Luck! :D

    Hi Guys!

I just found these boards and they are making me even more anxious/excited! I had my phone interview last week for the Canadian Cultural Rep program with Nicola (she was great!) and I am going to be in Halifax on March 1st for face-to-face interviews! Does anyone have any tips? I am so nervous and I really have no idea what to expect! I haven't even done the interview and the suspense is killing me haha... I just want to start packing :)
