Canada face 2 face early 2009!

Hi I've receive a mail from Krysten early today that said she want to meet me for a face 2 face interview in early 2009. I am so exciting... Anyone else does receive a response from her? I just hope it won't be too far...I'm from Quebec and if I has to cross the country I'll do it but I prefer if it near me...anyway I just think it's gonna be a wonderfl adventure!

 

As far as I know the CDN F2F in 2009 are going to be in Vancouver and one other city, they just finished the round of interviews out in Toronto and Montreal. So looks like you might have to fly to this neck of the woods for it.

 

it's gonna be a great opportunity to discover part of my country i guess...

i just wish she would email us with the dates... i go to uni and its not the end of the world if i have to miss class, but i want to know where and when!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


i check my emails like 10 x's a day!

 

same for me...if it is not more...me too I don't really care about missing 2-3 school days at uni but i just want to know WHEN n WHERE...I am so excited!

I'm waiting to get a reply for an interview date for the Summer College Program. However, they do the interview for both of the programs at once SO I will be seeing some of you around, I think! When I talked to Kristin I was under the impression that in early 2009 (late jan or early feb, she said) there would be an interview close to me. As I go to Uni close to Toronto, I assume she meant there'd be one in Toronto.

 

Toronto would be great! Never been there! Do you know when she'll contacting us for the date???Thx Ashley for the scoop I hope to see some of you there!!!

 

But Ashley...close can be Ottawa or Thunderbay :-\ Anyway whereever it's gonna be I'll be there for sure! What is a 3 days missing class for a wonderfull year of experience...WDW is priceless!!Even Mastercard can't buy it!

 

I'm not sure when she'll get back to us - she mentioned that she was in talks with Disney to find a good exact interview date in that time frame.
It could possssibly be anywhere in Ontario, but they habitually hold interviews in Toronto as it's the go-zone for a lot of people. I really hope it's there so I can just weasel a ride over. When I applied last time to the Cult Rep program I had to fly from Saskatoon to Calgary... as it was the closest! NOT FUN. I am really rooting for an easy destination this time.

 

For me even Toronto is a little far (7 hours) but I'll make the run... I'll take a few more days off...Never been in Toronto except at the airport...

 

I wish they went to Thunder Bay! I go to school there and it would have saved me the money flying to Toronto for my interview. But that one day is worth it to miss a few days of class... I hope you guys find out when and where soon

 

the positive point for us koda is that we will wait less time than you if we are accepted....you have 7 months left...it is so long... I don't know if I would have been able to wait that long...The wait isn't painful?

 

That is true, some of you could possibly start before me (or the same date, as far as I know I'm the only Canadian)... it is a long wait but I told them that I wasn't available until mid June since I am in school and have grad the end of may and a friends wedding on the 6th of june. So it's really not too long if I think of it in that way. I do prefer the wait knowing that there is a job for me in those 7 months, I couldn't stand the 2 weeks after the interview so I really don't know how you guys can wait.

 

Got a question. Was it long before you get your response after your f2f interview???

 

The next Canada f2f interviews in early 2009 are for sure going to be held on the Westcoast. In Vancouver and one other major city on the westcoast. The eastcoast interviews already took place on the fall in Toronto and Montreal.

But yeah I'm super excited! I'm thinking the next news we'll hear will be in January after Christmas and New Years etc.

 

My interview was October 28 and I found out on November 12, 2 weeks and 1 day. A bunch of people found out on the 11th. They say 2-3 weeks at the interview so once the 2 week mark hit I was really nervous

 

it's fast...I taught that was going to be longer..Is there a lot of people who was at the f2f and was rejected???? How was it? What the main things that happens? THANKS

 

It didn't seem so fast! But it was worth the wait. I can think of a few people (maybe less than 5) who didn't get the job, some were put on the waiting list and some weren't. But I'm not sure the total of how many got accepted vs. those who didn't. The interview was alright, very nerve racking, but fun at the same time. Thank you Koda you're very helpful...I am a little nervous about the inerview for the main reason that english is my second language....It is not that i am bad in english but I don't know how is going to be with the nerves...
