For those of you there now... Questions about the bread spiel in Le Cellier: 1. Does anyone remember it word for word? Can you post it here? 2. Is it still being said to every guest when they get their bread? 3. Is the spiel used at all at the old Beaver Tails hut where they serve the bread now? I NEED this information!
Hey Tyler! Now i don't know the bread speil, cause im not into service yet, but they are still doing it to every guest and beaver tails is accually closed right now, and i think it will be for a long time, so don't expect it to be open for a long time. but I can see if i can get you the bread speil or any of the other canadian know it.. Trace
this is what i said.... i've got 3 fantastic breads for you that represent canada. would you like to hear the story? the white one represents the yukon territory, which is beside alaska (for the american who have no idea what the yukon is). they hold a big sourdough festival every spring to welcome back the daylight. in the winter months they only have about 3-4 hours of daylight. the speckled one represents our 3 prairie provinces of alberta, saskatchewan, and manitoba. they produce over 54% of the worlds grain. and finally, my personal favourite, is the pretzel bread. it represents the kitchener-waterloo region of ontario, which is about an hour southwest of toronto. they hold the 2nd largest oktoberfest every year. it's only second to germany. enjoy! hope that helps!!
oh i forgot... trace...why is the beavertail hut closed??? i know they don't serve beavertails there anymore and that they serve the bread... but why is it closed? did the health and safety people finally shut it down!?!?!?!?!?!?
