    Hey:

Thinking about working for the WD cruise line but just wondered if any one had any information on the wages for the different positions, front desk, entertainment etc in Canadian or US funds. Any help would be great.....

hey... they will pay you in US$...

fron desk, merchies, youth councellor: approx. $300 a week
server: tipped position - approx. $700-1000 a week
entertainment: cannot tell ya, heard different stories about their pay... not to bad though... less work, many hours off.. but you have to pass a couple of test.. not easy to get hired...

I only did one contract for DCL.. loved it even though it was pretty hard.. My contract was one of the longest for Merchies... almost 7 month.. usually the contracts are 5-6month... working on the wonder is different than working on the magic... the week goes by so fast because you have one turn-around-day... but on the magic you get to know the guests better and you see more ports...

    princess cruises: I HATED IT...

    hey there..

well, first of all I don't know what kind of entertainment you are talking about...

do you wanna become an character performer or do you talk about cruise staff??

I know that the auditions for character performers and dancers are only held in english speaking country, once a year..

But I guess you do talk about cruise staff...

u need to be outgoing, funny, and all that disney stuff... don't think you need to know every single character.. maybe you should know what kind of activities are going on on board and on the island..

... there are different themes and "parties" going on every night... what every guest is looking for is the pirate party. The cruise staff crew is dressed up as pirates and they are going to host a party on Deck 10. They sing and dance, doing some games with the guests and do kind of a show with the characters... There is also some "adult" entertainment and family entertainment and kids... As much as I remember they did change costumes sometimes up to 10times a day...

hmm.. hope it helped a little bit
