I applied to start the 4th of June. Did she say what the finish date was? I'm trying to work out how much time afterwards i'll have to travel.
I cant believe i'm going to have to get another criminal record check, that'll be the third one in three years. Luckily i didnt have to pay for the last two but still. I'm the same as you, no one else seems to be leaving on the 4th. I suppose somepeople havent found this board yet though so that could be the reason.
For the edification of the masses, I'm fairly certain the dates (for UK apps, anyway) are... 30 May - 25 Aug 4 Jun - 1 Sep 25 Jun - 1 Sep Roll on next Monday for my dates! Kev
Hey kids sorry its taken so long for me to give you what i know.. im sick as a dog here :-\ Spoke to Alexis about 11ish.. such a luvly woman.. to be honest the phone call isnt OVERLY important other than finding out ur dates etc.. we get a package in January which has EVERYTHING we need doing all in black and white so when u call dont worry too much about remembering EVERYHITNG she tells you lol Im goin May 30th so im the first lot going out.. they have finalised dates yet so its anytime between aug 25th and Spet 1st like KC says.. Youve already been told or no most other things.. VISA applications, criminal record checks, flight bookings, medical insurance, $70 for going on the course when u get there blah blah blah this aint the cheapest way to spend ur summer but what we spend in £ and $ we will reap in experience so start saving now kids.. if you hav any questions or querires then im more than happy to answer from anything i was told on the phone.. but dnt worry they have EVERYTHING sorted.. my girlfriend did all this in September and i stood and watched it all and i know its all easy enough.. just starting rhe countdown now!!!!!!!!

Just thinking about the criminal record check thingy... I'm not sure we have one here... Because, I work with Beaver Scouts and when I was handing in my application for a scouter's permit, there was no mention of criminal records. Though, as far as I know Scouting Ireland supports the idea but for some reason, there is none... Eek! I dunno what to do now... Kev
I thought Alexis said £49.50? but maybe that as wrong? When i get this one it'll be my third in three years - luckily i didnt have to pay for the last two. I think it's silly you cant use one you've got already but i suppose you could have committed some sort of crime since you got it. Cant wait till next month when we get our packs from Yummy then February when we get our Disney ones! or is that the other way round?
