Does anyone know for the frist few days befor we go to walmart if we can call collect?? or is the only way throught a long distance card???.....and if so how do you do that from the phones down there??
U can call collect just talk to Telus/Bell before you leave and they will give you a calling card on the number here. The less expensive way is to have a prepaid calling card with you. These can be purchased at various outlets and online but be carefull there are some pretty bad ones with upfront charges and stuff.
Wal-Mart has pretty good calling cards, in my opinion anyway. You could get like a $5 one to last you until you can get one in the US.
