I want to know about this too, I arrive February 2nd, and I really want a car. Don't think I could handle the dreaded 'C' bus for a year - 6months was bad enough.

Its the bus letter than run to Epcot and all the apartment complex, i dealt with it for 6months and couldn't survive a year. I'm asking my american friends about the car situations. Will reply when I get information, but i think there is a thread in this website about it, not sure where, and i don't have time to search

from what i can see, if you're in F&B and go into tipped positions you can get one pretty easily, my mate bought a Chevy Cavalier for $1,500 last week, it had well over 100k miles but you can get cars for alright prices if you don't mind the mileage. i'm really hoping to buy one if i pass my service test!

We used to get really good prices for renting cars from the hilton at downtown disney when we needed one... But a permanent one would be handy to have and a big relief when you're on a PM and see the bus Q's at 10pm!

i think buying a car is a definate! although i will not personally be buying a car as has no fundage! my dear friend christina will be which i will be sharing!! she has been looking on a couple of websites, which i cant remember off the top of my head but will find out! best thing to do is ask some americans when u get there they will know a cheap dealership to buy from and a good one. there are lots of dodgy ones which you have to ,look out for!!

Im not even worried about resale value, since I like to take cars and run them into the ground for years.

Im going to start a new thread for buying a new car stuff.
