I just got this reply from the disney people I emailed to confirm my visa with:

I've got to wait until a week before departure to find out?!? Buurn. a week before I do is cutting a little close in my opinion.

I know! especially when you consider that depending on time and which airport I'm going from I will have to go either to my moms or dads or stay in a hotel. If it's heathrow it's easier to stay at my dads, if it's gatwick I have to go to my moms (which is quite far away), and if it's early morning I may go to a hotel at the airport the night before to save early travelling as abigale is only 17 months old and moms not going to want to cart her to london at that kind of time.

I may email yummy and ask them if they know anything, or disney themselves to see if I can get the info earlier.

 

Thats such a pain! I was hoping to know pretty quickley too so I can plan the day out in advance!

 

Yeah, but apparently not. I have emailed them back and asked if I can just know which london airport we're going from because depending on which airport I go from (Gatwick or Heathrow) completely changes my travel arrangments. One will involve my going with my mother (who lives several hours away and has to arrange travel around her 17 month old baby) and the other will involve my arranging details with my father. Or as a worse case senerio arrange trains and hotels (which for financial reasons are best booked further in advance).

 

well hopefully they'll at least be able to tell you which airport, it sounds like you'll have a lot to sort out!

 

Hey guys!! I got my visa back today soon which seems really fast!! Everyone I met on Monday should be getting theres back soon too! I called Disney before I read this and I got the same response, she said they would call me 1-2 weeks before departure with my details! Shell x

 

I haven't got mine yet!! hope it comes today!! If they tell me my flight details a week before I won't have long to wait seeing as I've only 12 days to go!! lol

 

No way! Why on earth can't they tell you as soon as the Visa arrives!!! Lucky 6th lot should hear pretty much straight away I guess! I don't like the way they keep you in the dark so much about flights- its pretty important- esp for people who have to travel a long way to the airport!

Hey Zanitta,

Don't know if this is correct or if it will help but most schedule flights such as Delta, Virgin, BA, American Airlines etc all go from heathrow and charter flights such as Thomas Cook, Mytravel, Excel etc go from gatwick (Im a travel agent not a plane spotter lol )

I got no answer from disney so far, when I sent my confirmation I goone withing a few minutes so I reckong they just ignore anything else.

 

I would say heathrow, don't quote me on that tho. x

 

I'm pretty sure the June lot went with Delta and they definitely fly from Gatwick- not sure if they also fly from Heathrow or not. I thought we flew from Gatwick- but I'm not 100% convinced! ???

Ah I'm jealous. Everybody seems to be going on holday - HOW ARE YOU AFFORDING IT?!? T-minus 26 days and counting I cannot spend money except on essentials.

and gets cheap flights!! lol

 

What can I say it's the time of year when we can get really really cheap hols lol
so i'm going with a girl from work.
Yeah and I've got 4 more paydays b4 I leave!!! - somehow still skint tho. :
