I know we have to wear 'business attire' at some point. I was just wondering how often will we have to wear it, and what sort of clothes are expected?
    Thanks

You only really have to wear it once (Traditions) although there are days where you need to be in at least casual business attire (one or two) as well as the interview.

  3. are we talking about suits, or just a smart shirt n tie with trousers and smart shoes?

Smart's fine. I just wore a pair of black trousers, a blouse and boots. Most of the guys wore black trousers and a shirt (some wore a tie). A note for girls, no open toe shoes. Some people were turned away for not being properly dressed. We had to dress in business attire for traditions, merchantainment, and then any other classes you have to go to (if you become a trainer, or take any college program classes - like i did).

    Hope that helps.

Thanks for all your information! In the packing checklist on this site it says that women have to have black dress shoes too. I have black flats or brown high heels, do you think that will be fine?

yeh i dont think they really HAVE to be black, just as long as they match with wot ur wearing and are a sensible colour... like not bright pink or sumthin lol

brown / black should be fine

Please tell me these rooms are air-conditioned, black in hot weather is never good!

Also, do black city shorts count as business like attire?

i wore shorts on my Once upon a time is now day....which is ur tour of the magic kingdom, or whichever park u will be working in. think they are less strict on the tour day than on the traditions day.

and yes the rooms are air conditioned, actually end up kinda cold!!

    what?!?

Does that count if it's a long skirt?? I have a black, long (ankle length) skirt and a jacket to match. is this going to be suitable? and will i have to wear tights.

yes,as far as i can gather they make you wear tights or stockings - i think its pretty strict!! Its cool tho,its only for 1 day - no big deal!! Im sure your skirt and jacket will be fine, just as long as its smart and looks like youve made an effort!!! dont worry about it!!

hopefully someone who knows more about the checking procedure will post on here but I believe it was if you wern't in pants you had to wear the stockings/tights no questions no exceptions.

With disney look book infront of me..

Dress and skirt lengths may range from three inces (7.6cm) above the top of the kneecap bone to the bottom of the ankle. The length of shorts should be from the top of the kneecap bone to three inches above the top of the knee cap bone. Slits, skirts, kick pleats and buttoned or snapped closures should not exceed five inches (12.7cm) above the midle of the knee. Pants should be long enough to touch the bottom of the ankle..

Thats what it says about the length of skirts in the disney look book..

You should be fine with a long skirt but you can wear knee highs instead of tights. I wore knees highs through my whole year on the program cos my costume skirt was down to my ankles. As long as they see some kind of tights you'll be fine.
