right guys im a BIT WORRIED ABOUT NOT FITTING INTO THE DISNEY LOOK! i have a blonde streak in my hair and am quiter worried that the disney guys are going to just abandon me because of it at my interview do you think i should colour my hair black beforew the interview... or is that going tooo far!! HELP!!!
Not sure where you from, but I know at our interview in Canada they said it did not matter what we looked like there, as long as we could follow it by the time we arrive in Disney World. (So as long as you don't have tattoos all over your face, your hair should be fine, cause it is something you can change. Just as long as you don't go with purple or something, that might be a little bit of a stretch. ) You can always bring it up when getting interviewed and just tell them that you plan to change it to a more uniform natural look when you get hired.
yes as has been said, if at the interview they think its a problem then they will ask you if you will be prepared to change your hair before you arrive. however i was the opposit on both my programs... i was okay for the interview but had blonde in it just before i left both times and both times no one said anything.
Haha, that's funny. International Services called me to invite me to the norwegian interview today, and she said "just don't turn up with purple hair or anything"
It's up to you whether you want to dye it or not. They say that they just want you to have the Disney look down by the time you get to Florida, but it can't hurt if you already meet the criteria. If they are comparing two candidates that both have the personality and experience, but one doesn't meet the Disney look now, who would they hire? If you don't want to dye your hair, another solid option is to tell the interviewer that you recognize that your hairstyle doesn't meet the Disney standards, but that you are more than willing to dye it to be more natural looking should you get the position.
In my honest opinion I'd leave it as it is for the interview. Then you can ask them if it fits into the Disney Look, and if they say no, then you can explain that you weren't sure but wanted to check just in case. If they say yes, then weyhey! LOL
