I'm thinking I would really like to start a blog, does anyone have a particular site they recommend??

 

wordpress.com, blogspot.com - those are standards! and v. easy templates to use.

 

I'm with Blogger and I really enjoy them! Plus, if you download Windows Live Writer, it makes writing up your blog posts SO much easier, especially if you want to put in lots of pictures!

 

I used Blogspot for a little blog when I was there in 2006 for my ICP, but I prefer Wordpress now - I just find it a little cleaner I think. Otherwise, if you're looking for more of a microblog (something that you'll just add to in bits 'n pieces, be it via pictures, or the odd blurb here and there) tumblr.com is also good - I just started playing around with that.

There's a thread that a bunch of people have listed their own blogs on (http://www.wdwip.com/smf/index.php?topic=6903.0) so you can poke around those to get an idea of what you can do with the various sites!
