My friend who got accepted for the summer program (5th June to Aug 31st 2007) with me will be turning 19 around the middle of June, I know that alcohol is a problem over there and it'd be near impossible without fake IDs to drink, I was just wondering would anyone know how i could make her birthday special and memorable since we are in the world of dreams?? any suggestions

  4. If I get to go I'll be turning 19 in June too.
Sucks to be turning legal someplace you're not...but at least you're in Florida ;D
...that wasn't really very helpful, but I'm sure she'll have a great birthday no matter what and it's great of you to be trying to think of ways to make it special!

u can always book to on of the dinner shows like dolly partons dixie stampede, medievial times, arabian nighs etc thye are kinds cool

  9. Or maybe you could get a few people together and just go to her favorite park, go on her favorite rides and such.
I think I'd be happy sitting on a bench all day on my birthday if it meant I could be at WDW! :D

the dinner shows sound really interesting, would they be hard to book? And yeah, going to her favourite park and on rides etc sounds like fun

  11. The Disney ones might be hard to book....I don't think there'd be much of a problem with the other ones though.

it wasnt my birthday, but it was the last day i spent with my bf in america...

We went to the polynesian resort and hired little speedboats. I'd been dyin to do this for ages and so James planned it for my last day... after that we took the ferry over to Magic Kingdom, browsed the shops for a little while and then we had a 5pm reservation for a character dinner at Crystal Palace. After dinner we went on a few rides, watched SpectroMagic, then finished the day off with Wishes.

It was my best day the whole time i was in Florida, it was so lovely :) :'(

And just to destroy all those dreams, she'll be working.
Well most likely and you won't be allowed to request the day off if you are working it. I was working on my birthday, I still had a great day went to MK to prat around for a bit. Then I got to work extra magic hours, guests with the same birthday as me I let them re-ride. Then back to the apartment where we had a Halloween party and then I passed out within 3 hours. Awesome

I dont think she'll be working because the day falls quite close to the start of our program and stuff, dont worry if she is though, it'll all fall into place

  19. They might be able to pick another day to celebrate it that wasn't actually on her birthday. I know quite a few people who have done that because they were working or their friends were. Or do something before/after work.
