I would think the peak season would be right now.I don't know many people who would want to go to Florida in the summer with the crazy heat. Most people want to go there to escape the winter.

Hey I dont think there really is a 'down' time there are just peak times. Disney is usualy pretty busy all year round. So the best time for family to visit is NOT in the peak times!

  6. You can look in ANY Disney World guide bok or on line.

This is a great link and it shows you month by month when it is busy and when it is slow.
Basically busy times are Summer, Christmas, Easter, Spring Break, Thanksgiving and any other holiday.
Slow times are January through Mid February, Late April (after Easter) through Mid May, September, Early October, November (before thanksgiving) and the first week of December.

You'd be surprised. It boils down to folks holidays (vacations). Surprisingly, the peak seasons tie in very nicely with school holidays. ::) ;D Especially in the european market, summer holidays are when most folks go on their hols.

There are actualy a few very slow times at WDW (although Disney does it's best to over come that with the introduction of Food & Wine, Flower & Garden etc. at slower times of the year). The first few weeks of Sept. (after labour day) are usually quite slow as are jan and feb. I have many memories of being in a completely empty UK pavilion. It can get that quiet.

If she is staying in a Disney resort there's no problem at all. :)

WDW transportation can take her anywhere in WDW for free so she doesn't have to worry about driving. You can get her sorted with tickets before your shift and then she can park hop all day to her hearts content. Not speaking perfect english is not a problem in WDW. Maps come in 7(?) languages and many CMs speak many languages. you can also hire audio guides too.

Also, as long as you plan well in advance, getting some time off when she's visting shouldn't be a problem.

I'm flying my boyfriend down to see me in the end of Sept. I want it at a time that it's quite slow and cooled off a bit because he does not do well in heat, at all.
I also want it pretty quiet because he's never been and the line ups don't always enhance the experience.

Best time to go is when a hurricane is threatening!! lol Well sometimes it doesn't work out if the hurricane actually oes come through. My mom and aunt came down when Ivan was was looking dangerously close and it never showed. We found the parks pretty empty.

  13. Too bad for me, I have to work around my family's schedule, but they're stopping by in May, August, November and January :D Should be good :)

I have visitors coming in July! Too bad for them the heat will be crazy! Oh well its the only time both my parents can get holidays! They are planning on renting a Florida Summer house with a few rooms for 2 weeks, that way more of my family can come down. Hopefully I can get some time off and stay at the house with everyone part of the time!

My mom's coming down in July for my birthday!! YAY!! But the heat or crowds won't even bother her, she's just super excited to be coming.

That's really cool your parents are renting a house, Candice. That'll be really relaxing and nice!

Well i not sure the heat won't bother me, but i've been in Florida enough to know what to do to stay cool; lie by the pool and drink margarita's!!! But I am getting excited to see Jei working in her Lumberjack outfit. :D
