Evening, Any current CRP people advise on what they've done in regards to getting a mobile/sim and what the best deals are? I have an unlocked phone I'll take with me but didn't know if the Americans did PAYG type deals like we have in the UK? Thanks.
when i was there most people purchased the $30 nokias on payg from walmart - net10 was the one i used - i topped up$30 a month and i could call the uk on it after i got it unlocked. ice thing about it wqas you got a 407 or the 305 (think it was 305) number which means you can make and recieve free local calls on it - most of the other people will be on similar plan remember that in usa you pay to make and to receive calls and to send and receive text messages
I went with metro PCS while I was there as it was the best option in my opinion. No contract, you just buy the phones out right. I got a blackberry and I paid 70 bucks a month for unlimited data, text and calls. The calls are free to like 100 countries around the world going both ways. So its good to have for calling home
it isnt so bad really u get used to it lol anyways u can always call appartment to appartmet for free if u eed to get hold of people as well
