What exactly do we have to bring? I was looking through my Disney handbook and it says that we should bring pillows? Or do they just mean Pillow cases? It also says a blanket... Does that mean that there is no duvet either? Im confused! lol
We don't get supplied with anything, I think. I'm bringing linens and a duvet -since our sizes are different to theirs and I want something for sleeping on the first night, certainly! And Lou is getting me a matress protector and fitted sheet... and pillow, so I'll have everything for my first night KC
I'll do the same.. I've already asked a friend to buy everything for me so I don't need to put them in my suitcase!!! That means saving a lot of space too!!
i am bringing linens and a blanket/pillow if there's room! i guess i'll buy one of those comfy bed covers down there 'cause i've heard the beds aren't the most comfortable! oh my gosh, so much stuff to pack!!!!
If you can get to an Ikea go and look at their duvets, they come wrapped up really small (well smallish) and dont take up that much space. Plus they only cost about £5. For pillows look in places such as In Store (Pound Strechers) and Matalan. They sell two pillows for about £3 that come all compressed and tightly wrapped. And since they are so cheap you dont really have to bring them back with you. Hope this helps someone
and how much is the Disney pack with all bed linens in it???? or would it be cheaper to buy it at Target the very first day???
at wal mart you can get a completet set with even more than you need starting at 35$ plus about 5-10 for pillows. I will bring a blanket for the 1st night and i usually take a pillow in the plane anyway
I am somewhat lost... Disney bedding rent is about $ 59.00, once right??? Complete bedding sets at Wal Mart or Target start at about $ 35.00 but does this include pillows??? (and can somebody please explain to me what pillow shams are???). But you still need to buy a mattress pad, right. If you have to buy everything I guess that the pad is not included.
thats one of the things i saw on walmart homepage... http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=3201762 you have to buy pillows extra thought but they are not expensive neither
I'm buying a sheet set ... and bring a very small blanket. Bare minimum for the first night or two ... I'm gonna buy everything from Walmart ... even the pillow (I figure I'll just stuf something like towels in a pillowcase for the first night I'm trying to keep my packing to a minimum
I plan on taking absolutely nothing but stopping by Tar-jei on my way from the airport and having a good 'ole shopping spree. ;D (I'm arriving on my own and hiring a car to get me to vista etc. Long story. ;D) Planet, generally the bedding sets at walmart don't include pillows but they are cheap enough. Pillow shams are just pillow cases but with a kind of outside edge. Like this: Ona x
I can't believe that! Grrrr... Im thinking of just taking a sleeping bag, a sheet and a small pillow.
Thanks Ona...I couldn't find the answer in my dictionary nor the translation tool on altavista.com What do you guys think of this set from Target? It is $63.59 (incl. tax) Pillows included ! So you need to add to that a mattress pad for $ 7.41 (incl. tax). That will come down to $ 71.00 at Target. Actually you might as well collect some of the items seperately as you won't be far of from that price. (I had first selected seperate items, it came down to $ 76.28 ) next... What do you guys think of this set from Wal Mart? It is $ 31.80 (incl. tax) Pillows excluded ! So you need to add to that a mattress pad for $13.65 (incl. tax). Then you need to add 1 pillow for $ 8.46 (incl. tax). That will come down to $ 53.91 (incl. tax). Conclusion from this comparison, you will find the cheapest set at Wal Mart. You may do some mix and match between Wal Mart and Target products, but I don't know how far apart the stores are and you might not be able to reach it if you don't have a car. However, is it wise to spend this money at Wal Mart and after my stay dump it somewhere if it doesn't fit in my luggage or is it wiser to rent a pack from Disney for $ 59.00? Somebody please help me make up my mind. plz ;D I have also considered bringing my sleepingbag, but I figured that it may not be so nice to sleep in a sleepingbag for 5 months. I think I prefer normal bedding. Let me hear your opinions! P.s. here you can see where Wal Mart (nr. 1) is and where Target (nr. 2) is Window Local Live.
Just a heads up... unless you have your own car, know someone who has a car or are planning on renting one or taking a cab, I wouldn't plan on going to Target. I haven't even heard it mentioned once since I've been here. Most people go to Wal Mart for what they need and though I did bring my own pillow, my roomate got one for like $5, so not expensive at all. In terms of a comforter and such... You may be fine for at least the summer. I'm only using a thin blanket and a fleece throw and am never cold at night, although in the winter maybe is a different story. Also, the beds are not the greatest in the world... you have to sleep exactly in the right spot or else you'll have something jabbing into your back.
Ohhhh freaking nooooooo!!!!! :-[ That totally sucks!!! mmmm oh well.. I guess that after working the long summer hours we won't even notice... (hopefully) :
Bedding set including the pilllow? Weird! I work retail and I don't think I've ever seen a BIAB (Bed in a Bag - as I would call it) with a pillow included. Neat!
Aha! Eruca! I´ve just solved the mysterie! It is not a bed in a bag...but a bed in a box! Thus leaving more space for a pillow, hahaha! ;D This is the first package deal I've found that also offers a pillow in the pack. So I was surprised as well. It is all new to me anyway, in Europe we don´t really get a BIAB, nor a BIAbox. You get a pack with the duvet cover where you put the duvet in and a pillow case. Then you need to buy a seperate fitted sheet, and a seperate duvet. I haven't seen any BIAB or BIAbox type things here... Unfortunately the review on the Target website isn't to happy with the BIAbox so I think I am better off getting my stuff at Wal Mart anyway...plus the transportation issue. I guess that will drive me nuts there. Here I have a busline that departs at least every 10 minutes, the same for two tramlines and a train taking off every 15 minutes in eiter direction. All within a 5 minute walk from my house. So I wonder what I will feel like imprisoned at Disney World ;D . Haha
