In other words, are there certain times of the year when they send out a major group-when i went in 07, they have i think 4 main arrival groups per year-December, March, July/August and September. There were also the odd one or two random arrivals. Does it still work like that or do they send people out as and when a space opens up? I ask because id rather arrive with a big group not on my own.
From our application round it seems that there's no period where they take more people. They gave us dates from February right up to the end of September and a group of approx 6 or 7 seem to head over there every 2 to 3 weeks (twice a month essentially). Some months have a few less and some have a few more but generally that's how it's been for us. The only month they didn't recruit for (apart from a couple of people) was January but I've heard that's pretty standard and that they don't often give out dates in Jan unless its to take over someone's visa who's left. However, as we've all found out, our rond of applications was weird and I don't think it stuck to the normal 'rules' so perhaps that was just fluke? So basically, that's a round about way of saying, that I think the set 'intake' dates that you're talking about don't apply anymore but I can't be sure... So not a very helpful answer at all. If you join this facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/home.php?sk=group_139449516103509&ap=1 you can see a document with everyone's dates on it and it'll give you an idea of the arrival group sizes and frequency. Hope that helps! xx
