Hey everyone, I'm heading out in June and I am in serious need of examples of clothes that are appropriate for the first week that we need "business attire". If anyone has any suggestions, or photos of what they wore/will be wearing I would LOVE that! Help me out!! haha
You can wear any kind of dress pants, nice skirt with panty hose, and a blouse. this is what I wore to my interview and it would be fine for traditions... These are a few friends from when I did traditions... And if you can see these are a few more traditions outfits worn... (including me) Sorry they're soo big! I don't know how to change that!
If you're going in June, avoid the suit jacket...you'll boil. (Plus, it's pretty bulky to fit in your suitcase and my friend took hers, never wore it, and sent it home with her mam a few months later lol). Skirts are fine, but bear in mind you'll have to wear tights with them, so it's probably easier to just go with trousers. Any sort of top as long as it's fairly smart ie. not too low cut and make sure it's got some sort of sleeve (doesn't have to be long, but needs to cover your shoulders), either that or just take a sleevless one, but be prepared to wear a cardigan all day. (Which I did, and even in March, it was a little warm). Basically, just think along the lines of what you'd wear to the office. In June I'd say go with short sleeved tops or shirts, dress trousers and whatever shoes (I'd recommend dressier flats as you do a bit of walking). As long as you look smart and aren't flashing too much flesh, you can wear anything. Hope that helps xx
