Hello Everyone. I have a story to tell and i hope someone here can help me out. In 2004 one of my friends had applied for the International Program but didnt end up going so he introduced me to the recruiting agency for Canada. It's been a dream of mine ever since my parents took me to Disneyland back in 1992 that i wanted to work for disney somehow. I am a Annual pass holder for Disneyland, I am also a member of Disney Vacation Club. I have taken 6 trips to Disneyland since 2004. I applied for the International program in 2004, I passed the phone interview and I was supposed to go for the face to face interview but my grandma became very ill and I had to cancel, my grandma later passed away 3 months later so im glad i stayed. I have since tried to contact the recruiter and he wont even speak to me, return my e-mails or my phone calls. I dont think this is very good Disney Customer service, especially someone thats represe ting their company. I will be going to wdw for the first time from May8th-23rd 2006. I was wndering if anyone here knew of someone i could talk to or has any connections I would greatly appreciate the help in anyway to persue my dream. If anyone would like to e-mail me its musicman0102@hotmail.com Thank-you
Hi, Know this might be a long shot, as obviously I don't have the answer, but are you contacting a recruiter as in a person, or as in a company?? There is every possibility that if its just a person, that they do not work for the recruitment anymore. Also I know that the company that now hires for the UK hasn't always done it, so it could be possible that the one you are trying to contact doesn't recruit for Disney anymore. I believe for Canada it is a company called Cast-a-way?? Any Canadians help me out here? Check the WDW website for the careers page and then check you have the correct details for your country as there doesn't seem to be a problem with anyone else who has applied. Hope this helps?? xKx
Hey! You're right KirstyLouise... it is a company called Cast-a-way that does the hiring for Canada. You can find the upcoming info for hiring at www.cast-a-way.com. Just click on events and interviews. Hope that helps! Steph
Hi , you can also go to the Cast building in downtown disney to get some informations. They probably gonna tell you to get in contact with your recruiter in Canada. I know a german guy who flew to Orlando because he didn't get accepted 3x. Because he showed up there he got hired! good luck, dani
Actually it was the recruiter from castaway that was the problem. Hes the one that wont even talk to me anymore.
I know what it's like to have problems with recruiters. I've been having issues with my DCL recruiters for a loooooong time. : The problem is however, disney really don't want to deal with you directly, that's what they pay the recruiters for. : ;D Thus, you can easily end up going around in circles. : But if there is an issue which you feel Disney should be aware of, def. contact them. I'm sure they'll want to know if they are being portrayed negatively in any respect. All I can suggest is to calling Int. Rec. directly (407-934-7470) Explain the situation to them and tell them your coming down there. Best of luck. Ona x
